Oh great, a fizzy yellow beer in a can, that’s just what the craft beer world needs! CynicAle melds Old World ingredients in a new school style. French malted barley, English oats and Belgian yeast create honey and black pepper flavors. Lively Slovenian hops provide the floral, apricot and peach notes. Toss your doubts away, toss one back and enjoy!

16oz can courtesy of cas. Pours a dark yellow to amber color with a one finger white head that settles quickly. Aroma is sweet and floral with notes of hops, honey, flowers, pine, some ripe fruit and floral citrus. Flavor is sweet and floral as well with notes of fresh ripe fruit, honey, flowers, citrus and floral hops. Generally light to medium body with a sweet and floral hops finish.

The color is a yellow/orange, with a mostly diminishing creamy white head and excellent lacing. The aroma is kind of a pine flower smell. The taste is a lite bitter, a little watery, not a whole lot going on here.

This was surprisingly good, Surly is doing big things. 16oz can thanks to vwcraig. Great orange color with a scant head. Smells like bready spices, nice. The flavor is deliciously fruity, lemons and malts with a little pepper thrown in. Overall a very tasty saison from a can. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 02-15-2009 00:30:07

TAP: pours a hazy gold, with aroma of spice and clove. Flavor is pepper/spice, with some apricot and hop. Quite good.

Poured a hazy light copper color with an off-white head. Yeasty spice aroma with a bready malt base. Some floral notes. Mild citrus start with a malty middle and spicy finish. Semi-dry with a lively mouthfeel.

Can from trade. Big fluffy white head over a golden body. Some clove, yeast and spices come through in both the nose and in the taste of this beer. Interesting finish that’s both dry and tingly. Enjoyable beer in a can. Props for that.

Shared with the boys for Cellar Reduction #3. Aroma of clove, barnyard, light citrus. Musty, lightly pislner hopped flavor. Enjayable actually. And I don’t normally care for this style too much.

Can with Butters and sixfootsix at the 3rd Cellar Reduction. Off-white head with golden body that has some orange to it. Smells like a barnyard with cloves and lemongrass. Tastes like clove and citrus peel...Russian Tea (no offense). Tasty.
