Oh great, a fizzy yellow beer in a can, that’s just what the craft beer world needs! CynicAle melds Old World ingredients in a new school style. French malted barley, English oats and Belgian yeast create honey and black pepper flavors. Lively Slovenian hops provide the floral, apricot and peach notes. 16 oz. can courtesy Buffalohead. Brilliant clear orange, but a disappointing, spare, bubbly white head and scant lace. Light honey, spice and orange peel with faint light fruit. Light/medium body, effervescent, and a clean, crisp palate. Flavor is lightly sweet, and a balancing tartness. Seemed a little flat, probably worth another try.

16 oz. can courtesy of a trade with stopbarking. Pours a cloudy gold with a thin linen white head that barely made it to the first sip and left no lace. Pleasant aroma of apples and lemons, yeast and just a hint of funk. The flavor is initially fruity and mildly sweet from honey, however, a strong yeast flavor quickly washes over and lingers to the end. The yeast is not particularly flavorful and interferes with the fruit, spice and other attributes that at times partially emerge. Disappointing.

Spicy and fruity aromas with a malty base. Peach colors with a light rose hue and fizzy white head. Flavors are bitter with honey and pepper, slight waxy flavor, with floral accents and a little bisquit. Palate is medium with a light bitter flowery duration. Good.

16 ounce can **Aroma / Appearance** - Foamy head raced to the top of the glass before settling into a clear bronze body. Black pepper, sweet malts, wheat, and assertive hops form a very sharp picture of what is to come. It is not as aggressive as an IPA but still makes its presence known. **Flavor / Palate** - Pepper, malt, and wheat surge across the tongue. Lightly bitter it is not harsh at all. The finish is almost peachy but not quite. Warming at times it is a nice sessionable ale (if such a thing is possible from a 6% ABV beer). I could see sharing a pitcher of this with friends at the pub.

Golden beer with thin head. Some fruit and tiny bit of spice in aroma. Surly manages to get the farmhouse aroma just a bit. Flavor is much the same. The farmhouse idea comes through more clearly. Definitely nice rounded body. Solid beer.

ill be damned. A golden yellow beer with a thin white head that has a faint farmhouse aroma and a fruity, spicy taste. Lively carbonation and a decent bit of hop bitterness. This is a solid beer for sure.

Pours a standard lager like golden with very good clarity. Minimal white head some lacing. nose- spice and light fruit, honey. Taste- pepper, other spice, grassy with a dry spicy hop finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied and carbonation. Drinkability decent, a little hot.

12 oz can acquired in trade with theisti. Pours a deep gold color with a 1/2" white head. A little bit of lace , but it doesn’t stay. Aroma is yeast and spice. Taste is yeasty and spicey also. Could be a little stronger. Flavor and aroma are to faint. As other raters have mentioned, could use more funk.
