Oh great, a fizzy yellow beer in a can, that’s just what the craft beer world needs! CynicAle melds Old World ingredients in a new school style. French malted barley, English oats and Belgian yeast create honey and black pepper flavors. Lively Slovenian hops provide the floral, apricot and peach notes. Toss your doubts away, toss one back and enjoy!

Not bad taste. Nice light beer. Not really hoppy or malty. Good session beer. Could drink a few

Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends. Aroma feels fresh with grainy notes and peaches. Flavour has peaches, grainy notes, some grass and fruity hops. Refreshing and easy-going. This has some lager features.

Can thanks to me (get your facts right Josh!) at my 5K tasting. It pours hazy pale gold with a small white head. The nose is earth, toasty, orange, marmalade, muffin and light spice. The taste is crisp bitterness, brioche, orange, mandarin, spice, lemon poppy seed muffin and faint tartness with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Decent drop, but far from Surly’s best.

16oz can pours a light orange with a small head and very little lacing. Aromas of malt, citrus, and Belgian yeast. Moderately sweet with a spicy, somewhat dry finish. Well done.

Bottle shared at Scopey’s 5000th rate. Can thanks to Leighton I think. I thought this came across as more of a pale with some Belgian influence than a Saison. Lots of orange rind and lemon zest with some heavy toffee biscuit and mild cloves. A decent go
