Poured from a 16oz can. pours a hazy yellow with decent white head. I had high hopes for this but is is barely more tolerable than a Fosters or any other fizzy yellow beer. I am sure that it would be more tasty on a hot summer night, but on a cool winter evening after drinking some heavy ABV stuff...this missed the mark.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, light sunny-hued yellow body with a moderately-sized, fluffed, white head. Smell: Soft malts scented of round table bread dressed up with hints of ground spice and sweetish honeysuckle and notably fragrant notes of both fresh-picked orchard and citrus fruits. Taste: Delicately malted bready barley with a gentle taste of honey-coated morningtime cereal followed by a juicy, fruity melange of white peaches, Honeycrisp apples, lemon, and maybe even a bit of ruby red grapefruit. Pinch of spicy coriander powder. Light trace of floral hoppiness with a modest bitterness to it. Finishes semi-dry with last touches of honey and fruit. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-plus carbonation. Drinkability: Recommended. Perhaps a skosh fruitier and sweeter than most, but overall a rather tasty beer and a very enjoyable saison from Surly. Darkness is a fine treat now and again, but, I think I’d prefer to have this one on a regular basis.

Une belle canette partagée avec Slovak Sniper. Belle bière blonde-dorée avec une mousse blanche peu durable. Le nez offre des arômes produites par la levure d’abricot et de pêche. En bouche cette bière a beaucoup trop le goût de grain ce qui me déplait. Elle est très rafraichissante par contre.

(Courtoisie de papat444. Dégusté avec rodenbach99) Le liquide embrouillé a une teinte jaune dorée. La mousse est pauvre. Au nez, les céréales sont sucrées, mielleuses avec des esters fruités assez forts. L’alcool et les houblons se présentent sous un aspect floral. La levure lui donne peut-être son caractère épicé. Au goût, très semblable aux arômes avec toujours cette force brute des fruits tropicaux : la pêche et les agrumes sucrés chatouillent les papilles. En bouche, le liquide a un corps moyen-faible avec une effervescence dans la normalité et une texture collante. La finale est courte sur des notes surettes, légèrement astringentes et métalliques.

16oz can courtesy of beeranddogs. Pour is a clear, deep yellow with a thin, white head and no lace. Aroma is oatmeal, wheat, grain, phenols. Taste is orange, tangerine, tangerine peel, wheat beer spices. At first it tastes sort of like a hefeweizen then devolves into black pepper, grainy lager, rich oatmeal. Palate is clean, sharp, creamy. A good session beer but somewhere lost between hefeweizen and a pils. Saison is not a good match.

16 ounce can. Pours a clear golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma of lemon, wheat, hops and some pepper. Tastes of of wheat, citrus, spice and hops. A bit sweet but very enjoyable.

Decent brew. Fairly light and not complex. But easy to drink on a hot day. Not in my top 5 of Surly brews.

Cloudy orange, white head of large bubbbles. Long lasting and nice lacing. Mild yeast spice in the nose along w/ cloves and a hint of pepper. Sweet but relatively light bodied considering. Medium carbonation. Fruity and slightly tart. Well put together. Can drink in quantity and that is a good quality in a saison.
