16oz can into snifter. Pours straw yellow with medium white head. Crisp aroma of spicy yeast. Mouthfeel is light smooth with excellent carbo. Taste is lemony peppery and yeasty. Best saison out of a can thus far.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured hazy yellow with white head. Aroma of spice, fruit, and malt. Flavors of citrus and spice were strong up front and finished a tad on the bitter side. Good balance between sweet and bitter.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallboy can poured into run-of-the-mill pint glass. Slightly cloudy gold with live carbonation feeding a small white head that laces like a champ. Aroma is a pungent mix of orange blossom honey and peaches (maybe this is what an apricot smells like?), and the flavors carry forward a slightly sweet mix of typical Belgian funk, peppery notes, and more of that tasty orange honey. Body is surprisingly stiff, with moderate coating and more of that strong carbonation.

(Short review due to the massive amounts of beer I drank during the CBC13.)

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2009 16 oz can from Crystal Liquore Barrel. Cloudy yellow color, foamy white head that quickly dissipated. Wheat, yeast aroma with a hint of citrus. Wheat flavor with a slight hoppy note, lingering tangy finish. I enjoyed this much more than I did at the brewery tour. It stands up much better alone than in a lineup.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A universe of thanks to SoLan for sharing this brew. Pours a murky gold color and 1.5 fingernails of off-white head that holds retention well. A yeasty, dusty aroma; very reminiscent of a Saison. The taste is citrusy and wheaty--like a hefeweizen--subtle grassy hops, white bread, clove, and banana with a dry, peppery finish. This beer confused me as it shares the qualities of a Hefeweizen, Saison, and Belgian Strong all in one beer. Medium/high carbonation and medium body. A great brew.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a finger of off white head with decent retention and good lacing. Aroma of light fruit with some pepper and wet hay. Taste starts with some apricot and honey sweetness then some black pepper spiciness and some earthiness. Finishes mostly dry with a slight amount of bitterness. Mouthfeel was smooth and medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Very drinkable and cleanly constructed. Would definitely drink again.
