Pours yellow, with a biscuit aroma. Based on the smell, you wouldnít expect the spiciness, which hits you a little late on the back of the throat. Itís pretty similar to Hell, but with the spice. Bready, slight banana, but lots of spice.

On tap. Straw colored with basically no head. The burn hits you late in the throat. This gets uniqueness points, but Iíve had better pepper beers. Wouldnít recommend much more than 5 ounces or so of this at a time though...

Tap at Muddy Waters. Pale gold pour with no head. Good lord is this hot! Chili pepper and black pepper stand right up and punch you in the throat. Super fun but chase it with water.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap @ Stub and Herbs on Darkness Eve. Pours a bit hazy, golden orange appearance with a small white head. Kind of spicy, chili, grassy, herbal nose. Mango, tropical fruity, rich chili spicy, pepper, a little smoky, herbal flavor. Ok but itís just a novelty.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
on tap at Muddy Waters 2Oct2012, Looks like hell, but smells peppery, the taste is exactly like hell on the front of the tongue, but the back of your mouth top of throat catches the heat and warms quite well.. pepper dominated (duh) perhaps this would have worked better with Darkness or a more heavy beer. The burn doesnt last long and didnt stop me from enjoying my food or other libations.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma - Smells like weak hell. Appearance - looks like hell. Taste - Hell with nicely added chiliís! The chiliís are really worked into the Hell its just not on top or mixed in. Palate - still thin Hell. Overall - not bad just not all too much of it at once!

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
At Surlyfest 5.
Looks very similar to regular Hell but the aroma has some pepper/heat to it. Taste is initially very good with a lasting pepper burn at the end. Possibly a bit too hot to drink 16ozís but would be good in smaller quantities. It wasnít hot enough to ruin my other beers (or day) so I am glad I had it.

Sample at ABR. Really nice pepper flavor on a neutral base. Little aroma. Heat is just right, hits you hard but still drinkable.

Draft at GTMW 12. Pours like Hell. Pale gold with a nice white head. The nose is sweet pils malt, toasty, then a kick in the face of green pepper and a fruity spice. On tasting, the malt starts out well, you know itís Hell. Then the peppers come on. They grow slowly but surely, almost overpowering you in the end. Green pepper, fruity and spicy, drying finish. Long burn. Pretty cool pepper beer but only in small doses.
