Clear golden pour with a thin single finger head. Aroma of a little caramel and hints of grain. Medium bodied. Taste is full of cereal and grain, slightly sweet. Peppers have a nice heat on the finish with a lingering burn. Not too hot though. No lace present.

"I give it a ten. A MFing ten." I tell folks it has a Tabasco taste going down. Not a chugging beer but one that will make you crave it weeks later (If you enjoy spicy food ect.)

Mostly just a regular lager vibe until the kick at the end. Decently spicy. Golden pour with ok head and lacing. Spicy finish. Decent grain profile. Tap at Churchkey.

Tap at Blue Moon. Filtered amber-orange body. Thin, oily white head. Deep juicy pepper tones. Serious heat. has a nice berry tinged pepper tone. The oak smooth this out, but still a peppery beast all the way. Very cool beer, but intense. Palate destroyer.

Draft. Hazy yellow color, white head. Aroma of straw, hay, fresh black pepper, light pepper flesh. Taste starts with peppery straw, then the heat gradually sneaks up on you and takes over. Nice one if you like the heat.

Love the heat. On tap at The Happy Gnome. Some hops and a good showcase for the chilie peppers.

Well it is spicy. White head on a yellowish pour. At surly. Lager that leaves a burn in your mouth. Meh

Pour on tap at the brewery, clear golden pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, nice grassy and herbal notes into a slight peppery, chili note without being vegetal, some slight oak. Taste was a mix of grass, spice, herbal notes into a slight biscuit, touch of oak into a bit of spice, nice yeasty note, finishing slightly dry, slightly bitter. Some spice as well lingers.

Not really sure why this beer is listed as a Helles... but whatever.

First off the beer looks great in the glass, only lightly hazy with a medium head, good lace, and a pale golden color.

The aroma is mild, with some nice hay, some bread dough and a bit of chile pepper.

The flavor is truly magical. It’s at a medium dry level with a nice clean maltiness and a very light but discernible level of bitterness. Mid palate the pepper flavor hits... at first the spiciness is mild then in the finish it intensifies. Before you know it your lips are tingling, I swear I’ve had multiple servings if this & it tastes more like Surly Hell than Pepper beer till a certain point & then it’s intense... not painfully so, actually very pleasantly so. I’m getting no hickory from it (thankfully)

I love this dang beer, if they canned it I would buy plenty.
