Deep amber color, sligh head. Powerful piney, resinous hop aroma. Is wrong that I now have wood? Flavor is intense, yet the beer remains dangerously drinkable. Bravo.

C-Bus 7 Can shared by jsquire: Pours amber with a light tan head. Aroma loads of pine, caramel, citrus and earthy notes, I could smell this all day. Flavor, piny, earthy, a nice malty caramel background. Great bitter finish, this stuff was fantastic.

UPDATED: JUN 5, 2007 Can from theisti. Pours an orangey brown with a huge sticky cream colored head. Unbelievably thick and sticky lace. The aroma is caramelized fruit, pine, well buttered toast. Superbly balanced flavors of toasted malts and piney hops. Perfect mouthfeel. Just big enough to not be watery, yet thin enough to be easy to drink. Really a fantastic beer.

Pours a clear reddish amber color. Big offwhite head. Pine, resin aroma. Some light fruit smells as well. Taste is smooth, muted hops, malt back bone, bitter finish. Nice full bodied beer. I would have pegged this as a double with all the sweetness going on. Word up to incutrav.

Clear light amber with a small white head. The aroma is grapefruit, apricot, catty and some caramel. The flavor is caramel, light sweetness, resinous pine, lots of grapefruit and pithy citrus peels. Medium body with soft carbonation and a thin mouthfeel.

Thanks to HawkEye19 for this beer. Poured a dark effervescent amber with a fizzy/creamy off-white head. Nice aroma of ruby red grapefruit and pine, with a bit of maple syrup. Some buttery notes sneak in as it warms. Flavor is intense and hoppy with notes of bitter grapefruit and pine needles predominating, with a touch of toffee, leading to a long dry and bitter finish. This started out great, but subtle flaws like a bit of butteriness crept in as it warmed, adding a mild tarnish to what otherwise would have been a pristine hop experience. Body also felt a tad soft and creamy for the style. There’s some great bitterness here coupled with good hop flavor, though in the future I will have to prevent it from warming too much.

16 oz can. Peachy brown, not quite clear. Brief white head. Orange blossom and nectarine with piney caramel. Taste is equally sharp and fresh. Hops dominate with bready grapefruit, orange toffee and finally bitter lemon. Light carb, oily then dry with pine sap.

Can courtesy of pantanap (thanks!). Poured a dark amber with plenty of white head. You could smell the hops from across the room. Very piney with some citrus in there. I enjoyed the caramel malt base which led into the piney, grapefruity hops. Finish was all pine needles and lingered for a decent amount of time. Mouthfeel was moderate, not too sticky. I’m not the biggest hops fan in the world, but I enjoyed this quite a bit.

Fresh, floral-pine, grapefruit and other tropical fruits. Very bright, some caramel, bready notes underneath. Cloudy amber-brown in color with a thin, off-white head. Poured the unexpected yeast shot into my glass. Toasted caramel flavor, rich and malty with a healthy dose of grapefruit that fades to a pine filled finish that hangs in my mouth. Very balanced and drinkable. Medium body, almost creamy, nice texture with a drying finish. Thanks to Brigadier for sharing!

Sampled from a can. Maybe jut a bit of a murkiness so this beer, slightly muddle dark orange color. Chewy caramel and sweaty, maybe-grassy hop nose, a bit of metallic and burnt hop scents as well. This isn’t the type of IPA/DIPA I prefer, so I wasn’t too hot about this one... over time I came to really dislike the burnt orange hop flavors, began to taste like nails.
