COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like Hops? You’ll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it’s about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Stockholm.
Copper, quite clear body, with a medium, creamy, white head.
Aroma of citrus, peach, dark berries, pine, some tropical fruits, tea.
Taste follows this pretty much, with some more caramel malts.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a strong carbonation.
Finishes bitter, dry, zesty, piney.

Really tasty! One of those darker IPAs, with interesting dark fruit and tea like notes. Greatly balanced and really quaffable. Not my favourite IPA, but a fantastic one for sure!

On tap at Stone. Clear Amber pour with an off white head. Grapefruit hop aromas. Tasty grapefruit Hoo notes dominate. A sturdy caramel malt backbone gives balance. Good body and mouthfeel.

Poured from 16oz. can. Pours a deep hazy copper color with a nice thin head. Aroma is Hops and more hops. A nice malt taste, but the Hops come through. Strong finish. A great IPA.

BLADT (653) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - NOV 12, 2014
Tap in Chicago. Clean copper-amber with tan head. Lacing all the way down. Super fresh aroma of warm orange and caramel malts. Pine and grass shine, especially on warning. Medium body. American hops squarely in the driver seat. Big, harsh flavors. Bitter throughout. And yet, despite the intensity, drinkable. Pleasant depth of flavor: malts are bready and citrus discuss open on warming. Toys the line of being a bitter bomb, but never loses the plot. Great beer.

Nice deep amber with a respectable light cream head. Pleasant citrus and pine aroma. Good malt base without being too sweet, but bitterness overwhelms. Hops are thick and last beyond the finish. Gotta be in a hop mood for this one.

16oz can pours a pale brown color with a bit of head. Medium hop bitterness that lingers after. The hops are really easy going, with no sharp flavors.

Fat på mikkeller and friends - bärnstens färgad och klar. Skummet försvann snabbt . Mycket malt i aromen. Smygande beska inte så mycket mer smak än det.

En bra IPA, inte mer. Lite dov i aromen. Bra beska som hänger kar rätt länge.
