COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like Hops? You’ll like this fire-hued beer. This is the beer I have always dreamed of making. This is the beer that would come to mind while spending the last two years tearing down walls, hanging sheetrock, moving kegs, power washing the ceilings, arguing with various agencies, and cutting the water main. Without Golden Promise malt, made by family-owned Simpsons Malt, Furious would just be pissed offed. From Scotland, this malt is still produced in the tradition of turning over the barley by hand, resulting in a malt that is unsurpassed in its quality. Golden Promise is also used extensively by premium whisky distilleries such as The Macallan. This malt provides the backbone for the intense hop character. Four American hop varieties are used at a rate of over three pounds per barrel. The result is a rich malt sweetness infused with bright hop flavor and aroma from beginning to end. Oh yeah, it’s about 6% alcohol and around 100 IBUs.

Can from a trade with phaleslu. Pours hazy copper color with cream colored head. Aromas of grapefruit and caramel. Bitter grapefruit flavor with sweet biscuity malts. Medium body with average carbonation and a resinous mouthfeel. Thanks Peter.

Can. Pours burnt amber with a nearly non-existent off white head. Nose is filled with caramelized sugars, sweet malts, with spicy, floral grapefruit hops dominating. Taste is a blast of astringent hops, so spicy, with an amazing malt character. Sweet, just enough to balance out the bitterness, mixed with some grains, and caramel that bring up the rear. This sports a full bodied and creamy palate that leaves your mouth a bit sticky and dry. While this is plenty complex and rich, it is still fully sessionable and goes down easy. With this IPA, its not so much the hops, as it is the malts. Two thumbs up!

Pours amber with a foamy white head. Heavy on the carbonation. Aroma was of hops, citrus, and earthiness. Taste was of hops and oranges, with caramel malt and grass. Starts off extremely bitter, but ends with a sweet lingering citrus taste. Goddamn, this is a good one.

Pours a copper amber with creamy head that dissipates to a lacing. Aroma is all about the hops/pine. Aroma is tangy bitter=delicious. Flavor is hops with sweet fruit notes but don’t think it overpowers the bitterness. The bitter pine/hops comes out perfectly. Body is perfect light but creamy.

Fuck yea. This beer rocks, the best tall can I’ve ever had. Pours reddish orange color with a ton of egg shelled colored head. There was a serious blast of pine and citrus when I cracked the can. Taste was hoppy and fresh with a nice aftertaste. Was not dry like some IPA’s but very smooth and wet. Extremely refreshing brew, I wish I could pick this one up everyweekend. One of the best session beers out there.

Can poured into pub glass. Pour is deep amber with frothy white head. Aromas of piney hops, resin, slight fruit, and some citrus. Flavor is crisp and finishes somewhat dry. Resin, piney hops, and malt are throughout. Very nice for an IPA.

On tap at Durty Nellies in Palatine, IL. This marks the first time I ever went to a bar because I read on rate beer that a certain beer was on tap. I feel kind of like a beermo. The beer was awesome, though. Nice caramel malt with lots of awesome hops. Dry, bitter finish. Pretty awesome IPA.
