On tap at brewery. Pours dark brown black with a subtle collar. Aroma roasted malt maybe a scent of wood. Taste was roasted and creamy with a faint fruitiness and dry wood. Palate was medium and dry.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap. Dark brown cask pour, not much carbonation by the time I got it and nothing special about the aromaI(dark roasted malt, similar to bender.) Flavor was almost the same as bender (light chocolate malt, creamy) and finished woody and much dryer than the regular version. Very good, better than regular bender.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On cask-drawn during Darkness Day 2011 in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Pours a hazy brown colored brew with a thick and creamy off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of caramel and Munich malts, a touch of roasted nuts, and some toffee with some earthy spice. Taste is medium bodied, smooth with a caramel and chocolate malt favor along with some sharp spice. Finish has a slight metallic texture aftertaste with some dark malt flavor compared to the regular Bender.
