Well, Im following suit. "Cherry Two" at Fobab VI. Pours a very pretty brown-black. Nose is fruit and tart, cherries really jumping out. Nice and rich mouthfeel, tart cherries and additional acid from the cranberries wrapped in Chocolate. A very drinkable beer with plenty to keep it interesting. Id assume that this is much superior to regular Two, as it is pretty well panned. Very nice.

Dark brown with brown head. Smells like charred wood. Just a bit of fruit. Mostly oak and chocolate. Finish is dry and ashy.

Sampled at FoBAB 2008. Pours darkest brown with some tan head. Aroma of tart black cherry, but also roasty and sweet. Flavor of chocolate, vanilla and cherry. Pretty good.

FoBAB 08. Not sure if I should rate this under this beer or create a new one. I had Cherry Two aged on oak and cherries. Pours murky brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of sour fruit, oak, caramel. Flavor of dark malt, sour cranberries and cherries. I liked it.

Incredibly well balanced for an oak aged beer. The two has come along nicely and this rendition had a nice tinge of vanilla and vinous oak funk adding to the bitter cranberry flavor.

(Draught) Pours a dark murky brown with a creamy medium tan head. Aroma of sour fruit, rye bread, oak, and caramel. Flavor of cranberries, caramel, chocolate, and oak. Tasty!

GTMW 2008: Deep brown with an okay head and some lace. The aroma has notes of twangy fruits, caramel malts, toast, vanilla, and oak. The taste is acidic and fruity at first but the barrel influence shows up quickly. A strange allspice finish. The mouth feel is sharp and biting. Okay brew but seems to lack focus.

GTMW 08 - Pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma has lots of vanilla, some bourbon and roasty malt. Medium / thick body with sharp carbonation. Starts with a bourbon and cranberry mix that gets quite roasty with the malt. The finish is bitter with some abv and cranberry tartness. Overall this came across quite messy like the flavors hadn’t had a chance to fully blend yet.
