COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Itís been said; "Itís easier to brew an extremely hoppy beer than an extremely balanced beer." And you know us, we are always looking for the easy way out, so we jumped on the West Coast IPA bandwagon and brewed this dry and hoppy ale. "Surlyís a little bit of a one-trick pony, they just brew gimmick beers," and maybe we are OVERRATED, but at the end of the day, itís just a beer. If you like it, great, so do we. If you only liked us when we were small, then leave this one on the shelf. Let one of the fanboys grab it.

16 oz can poured into a pint glass. Light copper color and incredible lacing pair to make this one of Surlyís best looking beers. Tastes hits you with hops as expected. Itís a Surly after all. Definitely presents a full mouthfeel that lingers. In the end, slightly one dimensional which prevents it from scoring higher.

Sample @ GABF 13. Pours a clear golden beer with a small white head on top. Aroma is very west coast, big on Amarillo and citrus. Big lemon in the flavor backed up by a firm malty backbone. Orange juicy hops. Long, lingering bitter finish. Not Overrated at all.

From the can. Thanks TheHoff43. Nose is full of hops. Mostly piney but some underlying citrus. Very light malt flavor, smooth bitterness from the hops. Not pithy and astringent. Hop flavor similar to nose and moderately high but not obnoxious. Great stuff ---Rated via intercellular device

Can @ Richardís tasting. Golden orange pour with a white head. Grassy aroma. Some orange peel, floral hops, sweet orange, and some candy. Rather sweet on the tongue. Candy/sugar sweetness, floral hops, some grass, and orange. Light bitterness on the finish. A little bit soapy, too.
