Draft at Surly. Pours a murky auburn/caramel with a thin head. Aroma is large with a mix of white wine acidicness, tart cherries, tart raspberries, and generally all kinds of tart. Taste is tart but not overdone. Cherries, raspberries, strawberries, slight oak, and hint of sweetness. Medium-full body with medium carbonation. Slightly syrupy in the mouth with a soft carbonation and a dry finish. Overall a nice sour. Fuller in body than others with lots of tart flavours. Cherry, raspberry, strawberry, oak. Nice.

vinegar, cherry. Odd flavor but very much enjoyed. Pretty strong imo for being a sour. Had a good amount of depth. Some bitterness maybe? Went excellent with the nice weather :)

Old notes. The aroma has vinegar, caramel/raisin, bit wine. Hazy, amber coloured beer with a thin, off-white head. The taste is tart, bit sweetish, winey with dried fruits and vinegar. Bit off.

Hazy chestnut pour with a one finger, creamy beige head. Aroma is big on bretty funk, lots of green wood, wet basement, musty hay and horse blanket, lemon tart, wet autumn leaves, tart vinous notes and hints of toasted wood. Flavor is toasty oak and light vanilla, lots of tart bretty funk, tart cherries, tart vinous notes, and light under ripe berries. Light to medium body, dry feel throughout, mild acidity and medium carbonation. Tasty stuff.

10oz on tap at brewery. Minneapolis. Pours dark brown, opaque, small white rim if head. Aroma is sour. Musty/funk. Grape. Grains. Taste is sour balanced with sweetness which comes out more in the finish. Not overwhelming. Medium body. Frothy texture. Average carbonation. Medium finish. Pretty nice for the style.

EBF rate. Pours a medium brown with a small offwhite head that leaves some lacing. Nose is of nice cherries, grapes and light on the vinegar (I feared otherwise). Taste is lightly sweet and lightly tart, nicely balanced. Body is light, carbonation moderate and acidity really refreshing. Nice one! Soft and easy drinking enough american sour.

sample @ EBF 2015. cloudy dark amber with a small creamy beige cap, some retention and lacing. juicy berries, chewy bretts - cherry brettiness, winey character - red wine - astringent if not woody; spicy and sweet tobacco, light to medium acidity - some acetic tingling, some citric; other spices, grass, herbs and pepper. average to light carbonation, medium body - oily; tart and oaky-grassy-spicy finish. not overly complex but a nicely crafted/blended medium dark sour. enjoyed!
