Aroma: The nose is a mix of vinegar, some funk, oak, dark fruit, and some dark malts
Appearance: It pours a dark brown color with a light brown colored head on top
Flavor: The taste is pretty sour, with some oak, and a little dark malt/fruity sweetness as well
Palate: The body is medium-plus, with a solid overall mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I tended to enjoy this one quite a bit. This bottle was quite nice. I’d happily try it again. I would think it works nicely with a few months or a few years on it.

Draft at Churchkey. Thanks, Corey, for bringing this to DC! Hazy maroon amber color, tan edge head. Aroma of sour brandied cherries. Taste like the old sweet and sour Rodenbach Grand Cru.

Catching up on RBAG 2014 notes backlog...bottle, shared by Dresden I think. Tawny amber, aroma of sour grapes/sour cherries, caramel malts, lactic sourness more than funk. Flemmish red ale comes to mind here. Tasty!

Sample at Haand Festival 2014. Dark red/brown body with a small beige head. Bretty aroma with red berries, hay, oak. Taste has a stronger oak presence, with mild nuts, barnyard, berries, finish is sweet and sour with a wineish feel.

Tap at CBC 2014. Dark brown in the glass, nice head. Fruity-sourish aroma. Starts intense sourish, fruity like cherries and some other fruity. Finish a bit milder, dry, bitter aftertaste. Okay.

On tap at the source. Aroma is strongly fruity, oak, and red wine. Strong flavors - mostly fruit, sour and tart, with a solid caramelly malt. Quite dry. Very, very tasty!

Clear purple to red brown beer, big aery beige irregular head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: sour, earthy, some chlorine, bit spicy, unpleasant sourness. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sourish, earthy, tobacco, bit lemony, some chlorine, leathery, unpleasant bitterness. Aftertaste: pretty sour, bit hoppy, earthy, some tannins, sour berries, bit hoppy.

On tap at Surly. Pours an opaque copper brown with a fading beige head that leaves minimal lacing or head to speak of. Aroma is amazing combination of tart cherries, crisp green apples and apple cider vinegar. Flavor is same with bright carbonation, medium body and snappy apple cider finish. Easily the best brettanomyces beer I’ve ever had.

Stine (1642) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 17, 2014
Mucky reddish brown; tomato, raspberry, high acid aroma with brown sugar, and balsamic. Rotted fruit stink coupled with alcohol, limestone.

Pleasant, soft acidity in the flavor with balsamic, currant, black cherry. Lots of drying, silty calcium and gravel. Blood orange. Calmly tart with balancing sweetness throughout, though it lacks some for buoyancy.

Soft rounded mouthfeel with plush texture; quiet carbonation buzz. The gravelly earth finish fades, and a deeply unpleasant sweat sock, moldy cheese settles in on the back of the tongue, in the far finish.
