4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The beer is light copper orange with not much of a head, but the beer was poured to the top of the glass so that might explain that. The beer was pretty watery so I doubt it would have had much lacing anyway.
The aroma is strong with lots of hops, a little pine, and some bitter citrus.
The taste is very strong, almost a little strong of pine and bitterness. Its a good ipa, not great, I prefer the furious. Mouthfeel is nice, not terribly drinkable, couldnít have more than a couple.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to Bob for the pint-size can! Poured slightly hazy, lighter orangey-golden with a sticky cap of off-white head. The aroma was juicy, with oranges and pine resin leading.. sweet base of pale and biscuity malts.. just a touch on the sweet side overall, but the juicy hops were really decadent. The flavor opened with tangy orange zest, followed by orange meat and bready notes at the core.. citrus and floral hops danced around the tongue, and gave a bitter and engaging presence.. more catty hops joined on the bitter back.. assertive, but really well done. Light-medium bodied and very bitter overall on the palate.. drier, but with a solid dose of residual sugars on the back.. scratchy.. I really like how this tasted and felt.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can acquired via trade with motortoddhead...THANKS TODD!!! Murky 14 karat pour produced a 1/4 inch eggshell head with spotty lacing. Aroma was green leafy hops, citrus, and honey. Flavor was assertive, not aggressive with moderate citrus, caramel, and pine. Medium mouthfeel. A good solid IPA (in a can!)

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Can:   Deep golden, a little hazy, moderate white head, frothy, spotty lacing.   Little bit of a dank/mealy like aroma, hoppy but not terribly bright.   Some citrus rind as well.   Somewhat of a wet cardboad/paper start, hoppy but not biting or real sweet.   Seems, well, not so fresh.   Seems like a little bit of basement.   Getting citrus rind out of this one too.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   At least its not thin!   Slightly grainy on the backside, moderate sweetness, dank, cardboard, with some citrus rind.   Yeah, not real bright, flavorful, but a little un-fresh if you ask me.   Thanks Bob!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A great IPA from a bright green hop-esque can. The aroma was loaded with hops, the malt cut through with a nice grain balance. The flavor was huge fresh hops with noticeable grain; but really the hops do take the show.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
In short: A wet citrusy and grassy IPA with a few problems. An ok beer overall
How: Can 500ml. Consumed fresh soon after the beer release, 2010 batch. Can sent to me by oakbluff, thanks a lot Scott.
The look: Clear golden body topped by a medium off-white head
In long: The not-so-hoppy nose has nice pleasant citrus fruits, oranges, grass and also a light tangy sour character reminiscent of lactic acid. Taste has graham cookies, some caramel, grass juice, movie pop-corn, fortune cookies, grapefruits, leafy hops. Far from the leafy/grassy juice character that I find in many harvest ales are. Bitterness is lacking assertiveness. An overall sensation of drinking a beer that is somehow muted. I had a few cans of this beer that I drank within a few weeks. I thought I really liked that beer but when I was down to my last can and it was time to rate it I decided to have it as my first beer of the day. That when I started to notice a few things not quite right with this beer. Was my last can a bad can or is there some problems with this beer (diacetyl-ish) that are light enough to go unnoticed by an not fresh palate? I will need a can from next year batch because Iím not sure why my appreciation of this been changed so much between two cans. I think this beer is supposed to be very good so Iím really doubting my opinion here. As usual the best thing about me is my insecurity and I hope it doesnít bother you.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Hazy amber colour, small frothy white head. Aroma has caramel-malt, sugar, peach, resin, syrup, pine and vegetables. Also some fruity tea. The hop-notes dominate and gives it a nice freshness. Taste is nice with a sweet beginning, merging into a fairly strong hop finish. Hops, syrupy resin, very fruity. Not all too heavy, but not weak either. A little sticky in the texture, but not at all unbalanced. The sweetness compliments the fruity characteristics and is rounded off well by the hops and the bitterness.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can shared at a recent BA/RB tasting... WOW! A fresh hop beer with hops from Oregon brewed all the way in Minnesota -- Can stand up to many NW versions of a harvest IPA. The can seems the best for these beers, because months after the harvest season, Surly Wet was tasting strong!
...Poured golden with a white head. Hops gave way to citrus and passion fruit. Had some qualities similar to iced tea. Clean with a great, refreshing bitterness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Can thanks to Nate. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white eggshell head. A sweet fresh hop nose, not very fruity more suggestions of bitterness and raw fresh hops. The flavor is very much a nice fresh IPA; bitterness throughout, smooth and some balance is achieved with sweet biscuit malts, right off the vine flavor. Nice.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours clear light amber with no sustainable head. Aroma is of course hoppy, grassy hops, some citrus, pungent passion fruit, also some malts, a note of cooked rice. The taste has a lot more exotic fruit than the aroma suggests. Peach is obvious, green apples and some notes of quince tea. Some subtle malt sweetness, a bit worty. And grainy. It is very light body for an IPA, not overly bitter. Really nice tasting, great balance in this one.
