Pours a cloudy orange color with a soapy white head. Intense grapefruit and tangerine hop aroma, a little bit of pine, and some toasted bread malt. A little bit of sweetness, some floral aromas, and light grass. The flavor has a toasted malt base with lots of dank hop flavor. Citrus, pine, and floral flavors all over the place. Lightly bitter with a very potent hop character.

16oz can 2011 ed. Same label as the 2010 version. Pours a clear caramel orange with a large, billowing, rocky yellowish head. Good retention. Big swathes of lace. Nose is quite melon heavy, pineapple, caramel, big detergent/lemon soap. Volatile notes of detergent/soap fade as it decants. Nose gains more muted melon, vanilla, caramel, mango sorbet. Woah such fresh pithy mango pulp. Oh....nom nom nom. Taste is bitter, silky/rich, sharp soapy bitterness, small alcohol presence, nutty bitterness, macadamia nut oil. Rich, oily mouthfeel. Has the elusive "quenching IPA" character like orange juice of sorts that only great IPAs can manage. Correct amount of residual sugar. Long, bitter finish. Very good.
