One of the best beers they put out. Definitly one of the top 3 in my opinion. Nice and fresh and a beer of theirs that is worth seeking out. Wet and Abrasive are currently my two favorite beers of theirs.

Can. Clear medium golden pour, nice frothy head and a crisp juicy prickly pear hops aroma. Flavor is also juicy spicy light fruits, dry crisp citrus and nice and pleasantly lingering bitters on the aftertaste. Can’t complain a bit about this beer, always a solid release every year.

16 oz. can, consumed on 11-1-12. The second can I had from a four-pack, and I enjoyed the first one just as much as I did this one. Awesome, hops-centric aroma: Dry, bitter, mineral-y smell featuring citrus, peach, apricot, cracker, and bread scents as well as, yes, cat urine (I dislike that description because it can’t help but come off as critical, even though I don’t mean it as such). Very strong and perfect wet-hopped IPA aroma. Pours a clear gold with slow-rising bubbles and a moderate amount of long-lasting, thick, cream-colored head. Produces very good lacing. Sharp, dry, mineral-y, grainy flavor matches the aroma. Lemon, peach, vanilla, and gin and tonic / quinine elements in the taste. Alcohol noticeable in the flavor. Long, dry aftertaste. Easy to drink but filling. Very lively; soft and smooth in the palate. Medium body. Surly Wet 2012 is one of the best beers I’ve had in years. You can’t ask for much more in the style or, really, any style. This beer is well made, highly aromatic and flavorful, and simply excellent!

This stuff is great to just sniff. I’d buy cologne that smelled like this. Best smelling beer out there. Taste is great too. $16/4-pack.

Bombtastic brew! Head was dense like whip cream on top of a bright golden yellow body. Aroma grassy, tangerines. Very nice honey presence and transitions to hop finale. tropical fruit, mint, grapefruit and spicy sensation Of bitterness. Mouth feel smooth and lively medium carbonation. Thanks DMCproductions for this killer venture thru simcoe row!

Pour from a can. Really nice citrus nose with a little grassiness, white head. Lots of citrus grapefruit, just thick enough to bring the party all around your mouth and a really nice, subdued bitterness in the finish. Nice work guys.

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2012 2012 Vintage - First taste of this bad boy today. Aromatics start when you pop the top... It fills the room with hoppy goodness. Fresh grapefruit, citrus forward notes in the smell (I recommend covering your glass, swirling and then taking one whiff of this awesomeness).... Appearance is light gold in color with LOTS of head; foams right up when you pour the beer. Taste starts with straight lager flavors and then the hop kicks in and really says, "HEY!" Palate is normal and full it does leave a resin on the teeth though. Overall, bumped it up in score!

Can. Pours a clear orange gold with a medium white head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is a strong floral hop and pine, just amazing nose. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet floral malt and very strong hop bite and nice lingering bitter finish. Hides alcohol decently, a very impressive IPA from Surly.

2012 Can to surly stein. Pour is a clear light honey gold, with a lasting white head that sticks around till the bitter (and I mean that) end. Aroma is a bit more subdued than I thought it would be (but I am congested as hell, so WTF do I know), but lots of citrus zest is present. Slightly herbal quality. Taste is pretty amazing. Lots and lots of ressiny citrus oil/resin, with grapefruit really powering through. Not overly bitter, but it sticks around a while in a very balanced way. Light sweet malt present throughout, a touch sweeter than I would have liked. Overall, very impressive!

16oz. can split with a few friends, thanks Kyle! Pours golden with a huge white pillow of a head. Dank pine, grapfruit, other citrus, light caramel malts, and some toast to the nose. The flavor is packed with hops, but not mouth drying. More pine and citrus hops and a solid malt body make this a joy. You get the full flavor and aroma of the hops but not the huge bite that you’re used to, and I love it.....stellar.
