Smells like mangoes and oranges complimented by a dank hop aroma. Very clear honey colored pour with a lacy white head. Nice sweet taste with a smooth, velvety feel followed by a lightly bitter finish. Nice version of Wet. Much better than 2011, but not quite as good as í09/í10.

On tap at Bulldog Uptown with commonshawn. Served up in a pint glass. Light orange and golden with a healthy head of a quarter finger in size. Nose is floral with hoppy pine and citrus characteristics. Taste is a slight surprise as it doesnít carry the signature Surly bitterness. Leans on a really high quality citrus (grapefruit and tangerine) and resin backbone. Very smooth and easy to drink with a light syrup like viscosity. Very well balanced...like Surly used a little restraint for a change. One of the better Surly beers Iíve tried recently. I donít even want to dry off.

Tap at bulldog uptown with commonmac. Pint glass. Copper with medium white head and good lacing. Medium hop aroma. Mouthfeel is very smooth, oily, and pleasant. Much less hop bitter punch than I expect from this brewery, which was welcome. Alcohol well hidden. Good balance. This was a very enjoyable beer to drink.

Type: 16-oz. can Glass: Hardwood Artisans pint glass From: My cousin Sam Price: N/A Purchased: N/A; Received Nov. 6, 2015 Consumed: Nov. 6, 2015 Misc.: Canned on Sept. 29, 2015 Thanks Sam! Poured a honey, hazy color with two fingers of off-white, frothy head. Some bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Below average spotty foamy spots of lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75) Smelled underwhelming hints of lime, pine, Citrus zest, soap, caramel, spicy Simcoe late and some tropical notes. Really not as potent as I would have thought. Reminded me of Surge soda and maybe even some Mountain Dew. (Smell - 3.25) Tasted better than the nose and different than maybe anything Iíve had before. Got those citrus notes - lime, pine, lemon zest, soap and Surge soda - up front. Also tropical, pineapple, herbal, grass, some tartness, floral and light tangerine rind. Clean and crisp, with the alcohol well hidden (Taste - 4.00) Medium body. Oily, sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, citrusy finish. (Feel - 4.25) This beer really grew on me as it went down. Thankful for Sam hooking me up as always. (Taste - 4.00) 3.83 86 B+

Can thanks to Bursprak. Pours llmost clear golden with a white head. Aroma of herby hops, some plenty notes and some pine. Also some citrus notes as well. The taste is herby, plenty and has notes of dry pine. Also some grassy notes and some citrus. Okay, but pretty one-sided in some areas.

Clear golden, light off white head. The nose is light fruity with spicy hops similar to a hoppy pilsner. A little flowery sesnsation too. Taste : full hoppy flavours, some fruity, some light dank notes with a good lightly malty body. Full mouthfeel. A nice, only slightly bitter aftertaste.

16oz can poured at home. Canning date 9/28. Nice crisp mouthfeel. A very good wet hopped beer - the price is a bit steep though.

16 oz. can poured to a Czech-pils glass at Lunar Brewing Co., displaying a lightly hazed, golden hue, with a frothy layer of soft white head foam, and curtainy/sheet-like spray as lacing. The nose was lightly dank, then slightly sweet, with citrus as grapefruit & orange, touches of pit fruit, melon & berries, and some subtle pine scent. The taste was a nice "IPA balance" of the aroma notes, in a medium body, with decent carbonation, and moderate, earthy & rind-like bitterness that lingered. Liked it a lot more than my previous encounter with the combo of hops in the 2009 & 2010 version. Fresh & flavorful. Almost worth the pricey, "across the bar" cost, but glad to see some Surly back in IL..
