Poured clear dark amber with ruby highlights. Nice whispy lacing hung around ítill the end. I picked up a little aroma of malt and tried to imagine some chocolate. I was ready to diss this, but as it warmed the flavor expanded. I still didnít pick up much chocolate but the maltiness increased and I didnít detect any off flavors. Not bad for a $3.99 bomber.

Picked up a bomber of Toboggan for $4.99. Cocoa malts, medium bitterness, and a yeasty alcohol sweetness. Poured mahogany body and light foam into a stemmed German Veltins glass. Fancy labelled Northeast Pennsylvania Doppelbock.

Bottle. Pours a clear light brown body under a small fizzy off-white head that ran quickly to a thin ring. The nose is richly malty with a nice caramel and munich malt quality. I was a little worried when it said crystal malt, but it doesnít come across in the aroma. Minimal chocolate and a touch of alcohol. The flavor is just OK for me, itís not quite as rich and smooth as I was hoping for, itís a little too grainy and doesnít come across as especially well lagered. The chocolate is pretty subtle. just a light hint of cocoa powder on the late finish. Some moderate alcohol heat on the finish as well. A little too much fizzy prickly carbonation for my tastes as well. Meh, this could be worse, but I expect better things from these guys, especially where lagers are concerned.

Pours amber with an off white tannish head. Looks great. Aroma is chocolate, caramel and slight roast. Taste is sweet with a trace bitterness. Clean finish with some astringent overtones.

Bottle in a locals trade with jdb288. An amber beer that sports a tan foamy head. I smell bready malts but not a lot. First sip is cocoa and then alcohol is tasted. It has a sharp bitterness. The beer becomes quite sweet with very rich malts. A bit of fruit is tasted underneath, and I mean way underneath, the malts. This is not bad and I tend to like sweeter beers.

Draft at unos . Pours clear amber with a small off white head. The aroma is really bland.. Light cocoa and light grain. The taste has faint chocolate but is really just a mediocre dark lager.

Dark chestnut brown body, thin tan head, minimal lacing. Chocolate, caramel, and the slightest roast. Not particularly complex or intense. Medium to full bodied, mild sweetness, gentle carbonation

Not a fan of this one. In fact everything Iíve had from Susquehanna has been dismal. Had this one right after a really good chocolate stout so the rating suffered do to that.
