Pour is med amber with a 1 1/2 inch head that dissipated quick. Aroma is malts up front with lite yeast and hop notes. A much hoppy beer then the aroma lets on to. Starts with nice hops and malt flavors and finishes with tropical fruit and lite bitterness.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange/gold with tall frothy white head. Lots of pine in the nose, some floral notes. Taste has that rye "bite"; spicy and complex along with some sweetness. Short, crisp finish. Paired great with the Indian food we were eating. Not bad.

Bottle at Paulís May 2014 tasting. Pours a clear copper body with white lacing. Aroma is spice, light alcohol - rye I guess - and some malt. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of spicy alcohol, light sweetness, rye and some fruit.

Bottle. Pours a clear light copper body under a one finger frothy white head that left a bit of light lacing. The aroma is nicely spicy and hoppy, very fresh smelling, minimal sweetness, lots of rye, and just a hint of alcohol. The flavor is pretty spicy as well with a decent amount of rye malt and bright citrusy and fruity hoppiness. Nice lingering and snappy bitterness on the finish. Pretty well hidden alcohol level for bing 8% ABV. Pretty nice beer.

22oz bomber from Spirits Brick. Poured a clear light amber under a smaller tight light white foamy head. Aroma and flavor of plithy grapefruit and orange, citrus rind, wet marmalade topped toast, dough, some grassy hops. Good body, medium mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nice overall

Pours amber with a fluffy white head that quickly dissipated. Aroma is fresh citrus, resin and floral. Taste is bitter with a crisp sweetness on the finish. Medium bodied, slick, good carbonation and some drying on the finish. Easily the best beer Iíve had from SBC.

On tap at Hawthornes in Philly. Nice citrus and pine aroma from an amber pour. The flavor has a nice underlying sweetness along with a good amount of bitter hops. Dry and clean finish.
