TURDFERGUSON (1021), Carrboro, North Carolina, USA Jul 15, 2008 Bottle from iowaherkeye. Thanks Joey! Pours yellow golden with and off-white lace. Nose is crisp apples, earth, must and a champagen-like yeast. Flavor is full of more fruity apple flavor, with a slight earthy tartness and a bit of wood. Nice dry palate. kmweaver (1813), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Jul 13, 2008 750mL bottle, sampled at the 1st Annual Shenandoah Beer Throwdown, courtesy of TURDFERGUSON. Thanks, Sam! Pours a clear, effervescent, medium-straw color; thin perimeter of sparkling bubbles. Good mustiness / yeastiness in the aroma; fresh, crisp apple character; not overly sweet. Medium mouthfeel: effervescent carbonation; solid, dry yeast character; decent apple presence, reasonably crisp; just a touch overripe; again, a good musty yeastiness. Light finish: lingering yeast, doughiness, light apples. Enniskillen (1529), Port Angeles, Washington, USA May 7, 2008 Gold with a dissapating white head. Aroma is apple, white wine, and honey with a heavy peach note. Taste is honey, red apples, white wine vinegar. Good stuff. hellbilly (790), scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA Apr 19, 2008 bottle from bockyhorsey by way of the pepsi challenge... pale gold straw colored with a very quickly disappearing white head. the carbonation actually jumps into my nose. smells like a cheap riesling... yeast, oxidized apples and a spicy kick. the flavor is the same... a bit too sweet with lots of real red apple. crisp dry finish. thin mouth feel with prickly carbonation.
