The aroma is grapefruit and lemon; nailed the style.
The taste has medium to high bitterness, lemon with a balanced malt bill.
The texture is smooth with moderate carbonation and a medium body.
A pretty good DIPA.

The best beer I have had from Sutter Buttes. I reallyu like the mouthfeel and lack of grainyness of the last one I had from them. This one is on point and I would drink it all night, not too hoppy, not too sweet considering the heavy grain bill. Good stuff.

Tasted at Beer Revolution. It pours golden with a nice white head. The aroma is very strong and fresh with some juicy peaches and pine. Maybe some light florals. The flavor is well balanced with some sweet citrus and tropical fruit and more pine. The finish is incredibly strong with some citrus peel and almost a woody like pine. Overall, this had an incredible complex bitterness with some balancing sweet maltiness while maintaining the signature "West Coast" character. I loved it. Stayed with me for quite a while!
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20 HighWine (836) - Whalesbro, Illinois, USA - MAY 24, 2011
Tap. Dark golden pour with a well laced white head. Earthy, citrusy, and floral hop bouquet. Very strong and glorious aroma. Sweet malt and big hops in the mouth. Not astringent at all. Alcohol warmth down my chest follows about 10 seconds later. My only wish would.have been for a little.more mouthfeel but otherwise a beautiful beer.

Tap at Pangea. Pours lightly hazy orange/amber with a creamy beige head. Good firm hop aromas - resin/floral/citrus. Med plus body. Lots of resin hop flavor - but other flavor is there. Malt seems well under control. Finishes bitter and arguably towards astringent. It’s a flavor bomb.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DYCSoccer17 (3012) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 26, 2011
10 ounce sample on tap at Pangaea Cafe. Light citrus and floral hoppiness with some dank hints, too. Fairly sweet and nicely aromatic. No ethanol detected. Slightly hazy orange-gold body with a smallish white head present. Starts a bit floral with a little citrus hop flavor. The middle is rather toasty, and a bit husky. Finishes a little thin and a tad dry for me. This is a very well-balanced IIPA without an over-the-the top hop character. Unfortunately, I don’t care for the husky, chewiness used in the grain bill. Still well-crafted.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 marcus (5004) - Sacramento, California, USA - FEB 26, 2011
On tap at Pangaea. Pours reddish amber with a thin off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a hearty caramel malt flavor with a well-developed hop bitterness. Very tasty.
