3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
500 ml bottle (BB 1.30.06) thanks to sk8viking! Poured a deep iced tea brown with a creamy beige head. Aroma was of spicy milk chocolate and vanilla... very sweet and very potent... just not so complex. Flavor of deep and rich chocolate and vanilla as well... mouthfeel was a little thin and highly-carbonated, but smooth. Tasty, but just too sweet and lacking dimensions.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at London gathering, November 2005, bought from Lovbjerg Supermarket, Nykobing Mors. Inky black colour. Chocolate galore. At the risk of repeating what others have said, it was all a bit extreme and over the top. Rather a one trick pony. Whilst I enjoyed it in context (i.e. sharing with several others), I’m not sure I could manage a whole bottle. Definitely one for confirmed chocoholics.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Really chocolatey aroma, really nice, with some hints of dark fruit and some spiceyness. Very smooth palate, with chocolate and vanilla essence. Quite sweet, and unbelievably smooth. Failry similiar to Youngs Double Chocolate i thought. Quite tasty.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ London Gatherying, Nov 05. Loads of overpoweringly choclatey aroma in an artificial way despite which it all works fairly well.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at Chris’. Dark. Aroma is heavy on the chocolate syrup. The taste of this is almost overpoweringly chocolatey (and a little artificial), smooth, thick and fairly sweet, it’s a little over the top but not disgustingly so. One of the better chocolate beers.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottled at the Chris_O Beer, Cheese and Curry powwow. Oh wow! A black beer with an off-white head. The aroma and taste is oh so chocolatey, but beautiful thick tasty chocolate. Sweet licquorice in the aroma also. If there’s a better chocolate beer out there bring it on!! Sumptuous.
