Small bveige head and a golden color beer. The aroma has lots of bisquit maltiness. Small bitterness and sweet eaven for a Vienna beer.

Bottled: Slightly hazy golden beer with a small, white head. Very malty with a grainy aroma and some grassy notes as well. Slightly sweet and grain-flavoured with some fruity components, too. Mild bitter and very dry finish. As Vienna-style lagers go, it’s smooth and malty, yet surprisingly crisp and refreshing. Textbook Svaneke, I’d say.

UPDATED: MAY 9, 2012 500ml bottle (?, Helsinki) (6:3:6:4:11=3.0)
6 Pleasant fruity aroma, refreshing and uplifting.
3 Hazy gold, small tight white head. Plenty of lacing.
6 Full bready taste, not so exciting, but a bit grainy, and hops are clear but not dominant.
4- Smooth palate, crisp in the mouth, both from the carbonation and from the bitter bite. This is where the hops show themselves.
11 Unfiltered lager rocks compared to filtered muck. Not a great beer by any means, but it’s so clearly packed with all the essential beer ingredients.

Bottle from same batch probably. 1 month before BB. Not quite as good, is older and oxidised. Aroma lost all the aroma components - dropping by 1. Husks everywhere, those hops done degraded. Dropping palate to 3, as the finish shows its flaws. Aroma a bit thinner too, more malts huskier, drier, dropping overall by 1.

Bottle 50 cl, Deli Kastrup. Pours clear amber with a huge fluffy white head leaving lacing. Aroma is malty, bready, hoppy, hay, a bit fruity and bisquit. Fruity crispy mouthfeel. Flavor is fruity, fresh, malty, a bit sweet, good bitterness and very nice sweetis malty and bitter finish. Good session beer in my taste.

Despite the lack of filtration svaneke has a surprisingly refreshng mouthfeel. Fairly sweet as one would expect from a vienna.Despite the lack of filtration svaneke has a surprisingly refreshng mouthfeel. Fairly sweet as one would expect from a vienna.
