COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Sampled at CBF 2011. Black coloured. Has a light brown head, mostly lasting. Heavy dark aromas, laqurice, roasted, notes of salt. Flavor is heavy sweet, more roasted and faint laqurice again. Moderate bitter finish. Creamy texture and soft carbonation.

Drunk to celebrate my rating number 20,300. Bottled. A pitch black beer with a huge dark brown head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, sweet and roasted malt, and a bit of soy sauce. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and wood, leading to a dry, alcoholic, and roasted finish. Thanks pinball for sharing.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours an opaque deep black with a creamy and dense beige cappuchinoish head leaving a little lacework. Hard roast aroma, a little butter and vanilla. Solid body, hard roast malt, some raisins and a somewhat rough bitter finish. The bottom fermenting yeast makes this a little rough. 230311

Botella. Pitch black colour, solid. Great huge light brown steady creamy puffy head, lasting just well on the top for a while and then starts diminishing, but beautiful, leaving a good lacing. Very pleasant aroma of hard roasted malt with dark chocolate and some alcohol along with caramel, sweet like. Good filling mouthfeel, smooth like and with a medium carbonation. So very much indeed a pleasant flavour of solid roasted malt with chocolate, some alcohol, liqourice and a good bitter hoppiness. The roasted maltiness has a noticeable bitterness for sure but not so overwelming. Pleasant dry roasted maltiness and biter hoppiness in the finish. Great brew though just a bit too young, the alc. should be less noticeable, mainly nin the aroma. Some of these in the cellar for a few years would be a good thing to do. A great brew indeed Jan Paul.
