COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Formerly known as "Svaneke Dobbel Brun".

Over- og undergæret.

50 cl. bottle, BBE. October 2012. Slightly hazy, amber colour with a small white head, that fades to a thin film. Lightly roasted aroma with chocolate and caramel malts, nuts and butterscotch. Medium sweet taste with some butter notes. Medium body with a creamy texture, soft carbonation. Medium length finish with caramel, butterscotch and nuts. OK brown ale, has more flavour than the successor, Svaneke Brown Ale.

UPDATED: NOV 3, 2011 Bottle, 50 cl: Slightly hazy reddish brown with a lacing light brown creamy head. Fruity malty aroma with notes of roasted malts, caramel, nuts, brown sugar and butterscotch. Taste is sweet and medium hoppy bitter with notes af aboves plus some piney notes, leading to a dry but nutty, bitter finish. Medium body, average carbonation. Seems like a mix between a German style Bock and an American Brown Ale. Strange, but not that strange. Good, but not that good.

0,5 l bottle as a gift.
Murky amber beer with a small creamy tan head. Aroma of peach jam, molasses and caramel, sourish fermented character. Light body, some toasted caramel, pumpkin, light cocoa, fruits like fig, cherries and the peach again.

Pours hazy brown with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is caramel with a hint of wood. Flavor is fairly sweet caramel, balanced with a nondescript mild bitterness and some wood. Fairly dry in a way, though not very bitter either. I would buy it again.
