Bottle shared with (and great courtasy of) the Bergen Tasting Crew. The colour is hazy dark amber with a light beige medium head. A bit faint aroma of hops, pine, some berries and mango. More sweet is the flavour which is filled with fruity hops, more pine and leather and peach. Has a slick mouthfeel, and medium that moves towards a heavy bitterness for every sip that lingers. Not too much aroma but has a decent taste and lots of bitterness, and maybe a bit unbalanced.

Shared @ Cardinal. Clear golden with a thick white head. Aromas of floral hops and light fruits. Flavors of floral hops, some faint citrus and maybe peach. Nice bitterness. Not so much "in your face" as I expected, but still a good IPA.

Bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Pours a deep, slightly hazy nut brown body with a medium off-white head. Nose is nougat-like caramel tones, mild pine and melon. Nice, but not in my pale face exactly. Taste is nutty caramel and bitter grassy tones, earth and herbal notes, hints of medicinal bitterness in the finish. OK, but a bit harsh. Smooth body, medium carbonation. Fair enough, but not great by any means.

deep golden, close to amber. little to no head, but a swirl produces a nice, light-tan film of foam. mellow aroma with malty caramel and light pine. taste is a bit more aggressive, with alot more bitterness than was evident from the aroma. medium body and carbonation.

Bra beska.

In short: Rich sweet caramel and an overload of resinous piney hops. For lovers of bittering hops.
How: Tap at Black & Brown, Stockholm.
The look: Murky burnt-orange body topped by a small persistent beige head.
In long: Nose is really in your face hoppy with a burst of pure hop resin with some ripe fruits. Taste has a heavy caramelized body, lots and lots of sugary caramel with also a crunchy residual sugars sensation. To balance that big sweet nourishing body they’ve packed this one with an insane amount of resinous piney hops. Body is very thick and yeasty with an active carbonation. Nothing clean, bright or refreshing in this beer, this is a big fat sticky hoppy beer. I liked this beer because I love bitter hoppy beers, but I honestly can’t recommend this beer, this is really not an achievement in the art of craft brewing. Worthy of its name. With a name like "In Your Face IPA" Svaneke are probably trying to attract a younger crowd who wants to drink beers that make them look cool, I was once like that, and now years later I’m still drinking more than ever probably because I’m addicted to looking cool.
