500mL bottle. A nicely balanced dark brew which pits a dark fruit and coffee cake malt base against assertive noble-type hops. The finish leaves you tasting the hop bitterness. A very well-made beer.

Bottle (label is now "Svaneke Rød Jul *Ufiltreret*", but the barcode matches this entry) . Pours amber with small white head. Aroma is weak and mostly caramel and hints of cinnamon. Taste is heavy bitter and light sweet. Palate is watery with good carbonation.

Mörkt rödbrun öl med ordinärt skum. Doft av rostad malt, sötma och en antydan av kryddor. Det söta tar över lite i smaken och det finns inte så mycket mer. Tyckte Svanekes mer kryddade Julespektakel var bättre.

Brown hazy, big tanned head. Smells of caramel, mslts, spices. Malty body, good sweetness, some yeast. Some dry palate, good bitter finish

Nose is hazel, sweet caramel, little dry lemon, later red apple, weak.hops whiff, feel is watery, carb is mediumweak, taste is heavy sweet malt, cereal note, rotten leaves, later weak sour earth

On tap at The Crossroad Club. Deep red brown. Aroma is caramel and roasted malts with hints of spices. Sweet without much bitterness, but a decent beer.

23.11.2011. On tap at Amundsen, Oslo. Dark brown colour with off-white head. Stinging carbination. Malty body with medium bitterness. Sweet with notes of caramel malts.

Bottle, 50 cl: Copper red beer with a large beige head. The aroma is spicy, fruity, malty with notes of caramel, brown sugar, roasted malts and x-massy spices. Medium sweet with a nice medium bitter hop finish with medoum duration. The body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Nice head, deep mahogany with a light cloudyness? Light caramel, kandis, dried wood in the nose. Meium boy and a little short. Tasting druy with some caramel. to dry and simple.
