COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lidt makabert måske, men meget træffende.

English: Secondary fermentation on gooseberries and red and black currants, giving it a nice wild yeast infection. Fruity, leathery and dry thirst quencher. ABV 5,2 %. “Jylkat” is a porcupine in the Bornholm dialect; whereas a run-over porcupine on the street becomes a “Jylsplat”.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2012 Fresh version: Muddy orange with a small white head. Aroma of spicy yeast, with berries and a touch of caramel. Yeasty flavour with berries. A drying tannin-like finish, either from berries or yeast, I guess. 6-2-7-3-13

On tap at Ølfestival 2011. Almost clear in the glass, golden, with a dense, finger-thich white head on top. The aroma is fruity and berryish, tropical fruits in a really nice way, and also a faint malty touch. Fruity flavor with a hint of sourness. Nice. Some bitterness chimes in. A bit heavy on carbonation, smooth and medium bodied. Fruit, sour and lightly bitter in the end. A nice and refreshing beer I think I could easily down a few of, especially on a hot summer day. 110528

Hand-Bottle sampled at Papsø’s on 8/30/09: Pours a cloudy pale bronze with some pinkish notes and a thin ring of white head. Aroma of funky brett and a touch of light grapefruity character and pale malty sweetness. Starts lightly sweet and funky with some mild earthy bitterness and a hint of tartness before a thinner grassy finish. A pretty drinkable and interesting brew.
