COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Aroma of soap! The flavor is malty with a bit of chili burn, no soap to be found here :-)

The foam is moderate and have good floral hop aroma with slightly spicy undertones. Tastes lightly caramelized with spicy undertones. It has a slightly spicy flavor that derived from chili, but it’s hard indefinable. I think that is a terrible shame, because when the label indicates chili taste should also reflect chili - and in a way which does not burn your mouth off!

Copenhagen 16/7 2015. 33 cl bottle. Gift from my girlfriend. Label declare it "flamboyant and festive". Pours slightly hazy amber with OFF white head. Settles slowly to 0,5 cm layer of foam. Aroma is a little harsh and spicy. Carbonation is soft. Taste is spicy and a little bitter at first. Them the chili manifest and gives some hotness. The chili is actually quite well integrated. A bit of a showcase - but entertaining.

Bottled. Reddish amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is at first quite nicely malty and floral, but very soon gets a quite strong spiciness to it. The flavour works rather similar, leaving a quite heavy burn as an aftertaste. Probably this would be better to drink with some snacks, instead of just on it’s own.

330ml bottle. Deep red, copper color. Small size, white head, stays. Sweet malts and hidden spicy peppers in aroma. Sweet, malty, caramels in taste. Takes some time for chilli heat to pop out, but when it does it dominates the aftertaste brilliantly. Bit hard to drink, takes time to get used to it.

500ml bottle (Kultura, Kaunas) as "Svaneke Chili Ale"
Smells like a typical simple dark ale, sweet caramelly malts, but hints of beaniness. Nice caramelly body, sweet, like a dark lager. Very full and smooth palate. Finish malty and caramelly, but the late finish is brilliantly subtle chili - it takes 2 minutes for it to really dominate. Nicely done!

Flaska från Värdshuset Fjätervålen. Jag gillar denna. Helt Ok med chillispetsad öl. Kvarvarande beska tar över i slutet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Half litre bottle brought home from Fish&Beer, Amager. Creamy sand-colored head. Clear reddish-amber body. Nice chili nose. You can smell it without being burned and/or numbed. Initial taste is genuine chili flavor, very nice. Then some dryish toasted malts, and a decent bitterness. And no it’s time for the chili burn. Hot! Thank you, no more beers for me tonight, they will all be chilied. A pretty nice spiced beer, by the way.

Handpump at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, Gustav Adolf Torg
Cloudy red-amber color with generous creamy head. Aroma of red jam, wet malt, a bit earthy. Smooth but rather anonymous ale, with raw malt sweetish flavor, and moderate chili hotness; normal bitterness.
Could be interesting with spicy food, besides that, it was not necessary.
