(bottle 27/04-2013) low beige head, almost black color, light roasted caramel aroma, high co2, slim body. BB date 23.08.2013.

Bottle. Pours dark reddish brown with tiny offwhite head. Aroma is roasted malt, honey, raisins, prunes, coffee and sweet licorice. Taste is light sweet, light bitter and faint acidic. Body is light oily with good carbonation. Finish is long and dry with notes of coffee, caramel and faint citrus.

Nicely sweet aroma which includes licorice and roasted malt. Taste equally smokey and with licorice, but a bit too bitter. The aftertaste is a bittersweet, not very good. Dark brown beer with a thin head that stays for long.

Bottle. 5.0%. Best before 25.04.13. Pours a dark reddish brown with a beige/khaki head. Decent lacing. Sweet malty aroma; molasses. Somewhat like a hvidtøl, but less sweet. Flavour is sweet and malty with a note of bread and a cereal overtone. Dark fruit note as it warms; prunes maybe. Further warming brings out an apple note. Bitter finish, a bit tart and with a light roasted note. The bitterness feels a bit like liquorice, but without the flavour. Lingering light alcohol note, which is surprising considering the relatively low abv. Remote dusty/cardboard note, but not too disconcerning. Overall okay. 21.12.12.

Shared bottle @Papsoe’s. Dark reddish brown body. Low sand-colored head. Nutty and fresh bready malt aroma. Dryish, lightly roasted and bready malt flavor. Faint dark fruits. Balancing herbal and peppery bitterness. Chalky mouthfeel . Well-bodied for a 5% beer. Clean malt finish. [14.07.12]

Bottle. Red amber colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, caramel. Flavour is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, hop, caramel. Medium body. Ordinary beer.

Bottle. Nice retro of the old times mix of porter and lemon soda. Roasted malt aroma with some bitter chocolate or coffee. Dark brown colour with beige haed. Rich carbonation just as it shoukd be with the added lemon soda.

Pours a clear and dark brown beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, roasted, caramel and nut. The flavor is weak and follows the nose. The palate is sweetness. Overall an average beer.

Bottle. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark red-amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Nice roasted. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice hybrid between schwartzbier and dunkel.
