jspruit (87), Dublin, Ireland Nov 11, 2007 Purchased in Bornholm while on summer vacation-took a visit to the brewery and picked up various bottles.
Nice deep amber copper color with a nice white head at pour. Carbonation sticks around a bit & lacing stays on glass nicely. Some nice caramel & malty hints with some hops bitterness-a bit of cereal and toasty taste. I like the various flavors in this, but I wasnt really overwhelmed compared with some of their offerings. Needless to say, I definitely enjoyed it & will try it again. petermadsen (339), Vesterbronxxx, Denmark Jul 8, 2007 Golden beer with a small, quickly fading head. Malty, fresh aroma with slightly fruity notes.
The flavour is fresh with nice and crsp malt, some flowery flavours and a nice, slightly bitter end.
An summerly and quite acceptable beer from Svaneke. But considering their avalanche of lagers, it was a question of time before they brewed something above average... yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Apr 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a quite golden, clear body with a small off-white head. Pleasant fruity, caramel aroma. The flavor is a bit butterscotchy and metallic, but there’s also the fruit and caramel found in the aroma. Surprisingly bitter in the finish, I don’t think that suits the beer, it sort of breaks with the rest of the impression. Some metallic notes too. Medium mouthfeel with a good carbonation. Easy to drink, quite quenching but a bit boring and lacking complexity. Not that I expected a complex beer, but something more is needed. (080402) yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 4, 2007 From tap at the brewpub. Pours orange to amber, clear, with a little white head. Caramelly and slight floral aroma. Floral and slight peach fruity flavoured. Rather dry despite the flavour and aroma. Dry bitter finish with a persisting minor peach note. fiulijn (5880), Como; Lausanne (CH); Malmö (SWE), Italy Aug 15, 2007 Amber color. Thin beer, with some cereals touch, some malt perfume and caramel flavor. Quite bitter finish. Average.
