Bottle of the unfiltered version, pours black with a brown tinge and a fine beige head. Aromas of cocoa, a little coffee and toffee. Initially sweetish and soft, then turning drier in the mouth with chocolate and treacle notes, plummy winey overtones, and a malt extract and cocoa finish with light liquorice notes.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Don’t have much to say here. Pretty average. Pours dark, typical nose, coffee, chocolate, but not to strong. The taste was low sweet and low bitter, rather dull. The texture was soft, body was light and the finish was medium. I’d drink it instead of Guinness.
