A wheat beer brewed according to Bavarian tradition and the purity law. A decent hopping and a full body make the beer suitable for breakfast - the socalled "Weissbierfrühstück".

Got this bottle right from the Svaneke brewery while in Bornholm this summer and drank at home in Ireland. Poured very cloudy and orangey hazy amber in color with a 1 finger off-white head that settled down to a ring that lasted throughout the drink. Aroma is nice and pleasant but nothing too exciting-mostly yeasty and not with the amount of cloves and banana that usually accompanies this style. Tastes better than it smells and the citrus and fruity hints are allowed to come up with the wheat and sweet hints. Not too heavy with medium carbonation that goes down easy, but not too filling. I was actually hoping for a bit more from this beer. You can drink plenty in one session if you would like, but I think that there are better weiss offerings out there.

Bottle. [Courtesy of yespr, thanks buddy] Average thick off-white head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Hazy golden / amber color. Aroma was dominated by yeast, with notes of wheat, fruit and hint of citrus and banana. Medium bodied with an average carbonation. Light sweet and hint of acidic flavor. Light sweet and yeast like finish. A bit to on dimensional for my taste.

Nice big fizzy white head. The head disapeared rather quikly. The aroma is mostly citrus. The flavor is also mostly citrus, i couldnt identify any other flavors. Watery texture and fizzy carbonation, feels nice in the mouth. I didnt feel any bitternes in the beer, but there was som in the aftertaste.

Golden and hazy with a nice head. The aroma isn’t very strong, but it does have notes of wheat and a hint of banana. The flavour has the typical Svaneke personality and isn’t very wheaty IMO. Sure I can tell it’s a weiss, but it’s weak. And at this price I could have bought about 6 good German weiss beers in Germany - or two here in Denmark.

Bottled at Københavnske Øldage. Muddy amber appearance. Caramelly banana aroma. Sweet and well rounded, full bodied for a weizen. Rather restrained esters, although there are some bubblegum. Refreshing, despite it’s relative sweetness. A bit inventive, but good.
