We introduce new special guest in our brewery. It is India Pale Ale (IPA). Our IPA is top-fermented beer brewed from Czech ingredients and two kinds of American hops ( Amarillo and Cascade). It combines full malt body with high hop bitterness and hoppy aroma.

Fantastic IPA, probably the best I ever had. What also contributed was the good athmosphere in the bew pub. Makes me want tzo go back to prague quite often...

On tap at brewery/restaurant in Prague. One of the best beers I´ve ever had. Great fruity aroma, light full hoppy taste and palate, refreshing and well crafted. I love it since the first sip.

Vynikající polotmavé pivo. Chuťově hodně výrazné, navíc servirováno velmi ve stylovém prostředí strahovského pivovaru.

Draught at the brewpub. It’s not a challenge to create an IPA that is the equivalent of 200 IBU tropical hop juice. It is a challenge to create an IPA that is both very hoppy and malty, perfectly balanced, with a soft mouthfeel, light malty sweetness and a rather strong bitterness. One that leaves you sitting in awe yet is not overwhelming. One that is an immensely quaffable ’big’ beer. One that doesn’t blow you away with an overabundance of tropical hops but whose tropical hop aroma enters your nasal tract with grace and class. One whose bitterness would combine the best traits of US grapefruity hops and Czech Saaz hops herbal notes. Well, I have found such a beer. And it’s magnificent.

Výčap Kláštorný pivovar Strahov. Tmavo oranžová, až jantárová farba. Úžasná biela krémová pena. Vôňa jemne sladová, ovocná s jemným karamelom. Krásne cítiť použité chmele. Chuťovo veľmi príjemná a vyvážená. Najskôr príjemná sladkosť a ovocné tóny, citrusy a neskôr nástup úžasnej horkosti, ktorá veľmi dlho zostáva v ústach. Vyrované a hutné telo. Pre mňa jedna z najlepších Česko-Slovenských IPA.

On tap at the Klásterní Pivovar Strahov brewpub, Prague on 12 July 2010. Copper to gold with yellow white head. Grassy and grapefruit hops (noted that Amarillo and Cascade hops were in use) backed up by a strong malt background that balances it perfectly. A rich hoppy aftertaste follows, delivered on a zingy and engaging mouthfeel. One of the best brew-pub IPAs I have had the pleasure to taste outside the UK and America. Exquisite.

Draught keg at Euston Tap. An inviting mid-amber colour. A little malt sweetness on the nose and some fruity, resiny hops. Very pleasing flavour - a good balance of the sweetness & body, with a little caramel, and bitterness afterwards that wraps around the sides of your tongue. A pretty decent IPA with good body.
