Not impressed.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 TheCametron (1296) - CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 15, 2012
Bottle. The name is a jab at the recently repealed prohibition that made Czech an international laughing stock for a month or so. Pours Orange Amber with a thick ’yellow snow’ head. Aroma is powerfully hoppy. So inviting. Bubblegum, peach, Pinapple and pine. The flavour has some sweet toffee malt and sackloads of hops. The bitterness is controlled. Totally delicious.

Amber color with small head. Aroma of fruits, peach, caramel. Taste of honey with nice bitterness to it, really nice balanced.

on tap in the brewery’s biergarten ona glorious autumn afternoon, so a good start. good timing, being released just after the czech republic’s brief brush with prohibition. a rich shade of orange amber with a firm and lasting off-white head; bags of aroma with some pine cones, toffee apple, grapefruit pulp and hints of sarsparilla; an agreeably creamy mouthfeel; plenty of zesty bitterness with notes of butterscotch and honey on buttered toast, mellow alcohol presence which was at no stage overplayed. the best czech double ipa i’ve tried to date and yet another great beer from a brewery that’s been consistently hitting the mark for over ten years now
