(Draught at Klasterni Pivovar Strahov, Prague, 20 July 2008) Golden yellow colour, cloudy, with a frothy, white head. Citric nose with notes of lemon, banana, yellow plums and spicy hints of clove. Citric, wheaty taste with banana, citrus and hints of clove. Lovely balance with some sweetness. Clean, fresh and tasty hefeweizen.

Tap @ Klásterní Pivovar Strahov, Prague.
Pours deep, muddy yellow with an impressive, creamy, slightly off-white head. Super duration - it even stays after drinking from it. Bubbles are lazily caressing the sides of the glass, looking for the white foam above. Aroma is lovely banana, some green apple, lemons, coriander and wheat. Wonderful mouthfeel with high carbonation. Flavour is elegantly fruity without ever overdoing it. Banana dominates, but coriander and a strong, semi-dry bitterness equals everything out to almost perfection. Stunning.

From tap at Strahov Monastary Prague... Hazy yellow ... nice if typical banana wheat nose ... again very typical wheat beer but at the top pf the game ... smooth soft and balanced.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours murky yellow to orange with a foamy off-white head. Somewhat un-beauty. Solid estery and wheaty aroma. Light sweet fruity flavour with a distinct bubblegum base. Dry finish with a solid estery flavour.

Draft at the brewpub. Lots of sweentess, lots of banana. Almost bubble gum feeling from a fruity mouthful. A little orange in the finish. Not my type of beer, really.

Draught@brewpub. Hazy deep yellow colour, mediumsized creamy white head. A lot of banana in the aroma along with yeast and wheat. Flavour is big wheat, citrus and some yeast. Also a mild touch of caramel. Really pleasant. refreshing and nice brew.

Draught @ the brewpub. Large fin foamed creamy head that really lasted. Nice cloudy golden color. Good display of lacework. Aroma was coriander – clove, citrus, banana, wheat. This was really fresh and smooth. Medium bodied with an average carbonation and smooth creamy texture. Moderated sweet banana flavor with nice counter acidic freshness. Somewhat lingering banana and clove lingering finish. In the hot sun under Prague, this really was an experience.

Proper hazy yellow body with a white head. Sprizty fresh peppery banana and lemon yeast notes in the nose. Flavor is sweeter than most true hefeweizen, but served cold on a hot Spring day it’s incredibly refreshing and flavorful. A nice well-made example that I could drink casually at any time.

.5L Draft in appropriate glass. A rainy day in the beer garden. Tight lacing on top of thick rocky head. A hazy yellow. Spicy, and citrusy nose with fantastic head retention. Gums are tingling with sweet/bitter fruit. Medium + body. Lacing is sticky and webbing complete and does not dissipate. Impressivly drinkable...I had two. An extended finish with a pleasant corriander tone. A fine beer.

Super clean and tasty. Great yeasty fruity flavours and some thicker licorice notes on the finish. This would compete easily with most German examples.
