On tap at the brewpub. Deep red amber with a lasting off-white head. Rich malty aroma with some dried fruit and a touch of vineous alcohol. Sweet malty flavour with notes of dried fruit, pear and pineapple. Herbal and grassy hops and a good bitter finish

bottle, many thanks to Cuso! Hazy deep amber colour, large off-white head. Lovely bitter-sweet aroma, very promising. Full-bodied, sweet, delicious malty base with a surprising amount of good Czech Saaz hops. Incredibly hoppy for the style, dleiicous, with some IPA character because of a very shy fruitiness. Impressive, really impressive!

500 ml bottle. From Cuso. Massive thanks!
Cloudy dark amber colour with big frothy off-white head. Lots of malt, some sugary sweetness, sweetish fruity hops and mild bitterness in quite interesting and delicious aroma. Bitter grassy and grapefruity hops, sweetish dark malt, bread and alcohol in flavour. This is somewhere between DIPA and Doppelbock. Tasty.

Tap at the brewpub. The brewery lists the ABV at 7.7% and describes it as a doppelbock, though it is a unique interpretation of the style. Dark, hazy amber with a big, creamy beige head. Aroma of sweet toasty, caramel malts, and a good dose of grapefruit hops. The flavor is sweet candy malt with lots of grapefruit-bitter hops. Similar to the amber, but bigger and hoppier. Full, almost chewy palate with crisp carbonation. Hoppy doppelbock? It almost tastes like the amber is an IPA, and this is a DIPA. Very intense and refreshing. I like it.

Not 100% sure on the name, and I’m guessing that it’s a Euro Strong Ale - it tasted like 8% abv or so. Anyway, it was billed as a "christmas beer". Fair amound of alcohol notes and a tad sweet, though not sweet or rich enough to hide the alcohol or provide much complexity or interest.
