500 ml bottle. BB 26/02/13. (Globus) Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.
Clear dark amber colour with small to average sized fluffy light tan head. Caramel and toffee sweetness, malt and mild diacetyl in aroma. Flavour is sweetish with dry hoppy twist. There’s liquorice, toffee, dry hops, malt and dark fruits in flavour. Rather balanced and interesting.

500ml bottle (BB 16.08.12). Dark brown color. Nice tan head, disappears fast. Mild roast, caramel in aroma. Somewhat metallic, roast, slightly nutty, fresh (mint?) flavor.

500ml bottle - shared by Marduk - thanks. Was 3 months past BB.
Nice soft roast, some chocolatiness to it. Fruity apple/orange retronasals. Very simple soft roast in the taste too.Finish has very dark burnt malt bitterness, with slightly metallic hints. Full and smooth palate, just gently sweet to keep it smooth, but not sugary at all. Carbonation is pleasant. Super easily drinkable dunkel, just what I like in a dark beer - would session this. Not showing signs of age at all, if anything the dryness might be aided by the age, and a positive thing.

angelkostvo (513) - CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 13, 2012
Color is dark with red nuance as you would expect from a dunkel and it has a small head that stays. Aroma of caramel, smoke, plums, some wet wood may be. Taste is balanced, sweet with dry finish. On of the best Czech dunkels I had.

Deep brown body and light tan head. Cacao, pecan nuts, wholewheat bread. Quite smooth, nice mouth feel. Light sweet and roasted. Good balance, none of the expected factory taste. Body is even a bit fatty. Well made, good brewer. (50cl bottle)

50cl Bottle from Tesco Plzen. Deep dark brown to black colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, burnt caramel, nuts, dusty cocoa. Flavour is light sweet, cocoa, roasted malts, light coffee, nuts, bitter burnt caramel finish. Light-bodied. Good dunkel imo.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2012 I don’t know why not give it perfect score based on its class alone. I drink many Czech beers and this by far is the most fresh tasting, fun on complexity (smoke, little dark pepper corn, dark chocolate roastyness....... little woody with a really nice tan head that doesn’t dissipate quick at all and stays around floating on the medium fresh body. Label is really fitting for this beer! update: Still drinking this beer. Even got a box out of exp. as of July 5th. Today is August 16th. It just keeps marching on. Note to people prone to heartburn..... that I think the ingredients here are fresh not to easily sting you. Amazing finish and aftertastes. Even on the last finger on a wide lager glass the characteristics still shine full on.. give it a shake. if anybody wants any, contact me.
