Canned(500ml). –Pale golden coloured, small soapy white head, light bready, cereals and grainy nose. Simple bohemian pils. Malty, grainy, fresh hoppy and light bready with low carbonation and mild bitterness in the finish. Better than Kniže.

Got it at Hypernova in Plzen I think. Pale golden body, small-medium thick white head that went away fast. Very dusty hoppy nose, grain, alcohol. Dusty hop in the taste as well, appley. The maltiness wasn’t all that quality giving notes of alcohol too. Weak bitterness. Not my type but got better as I drank it (wow this makes sense).

0.5 l can Doggythedog brought from Plzen, thanks! It poured lighter golden body with medium head. Fine, pretty malty aroma of honey, with some herbal hops. Bitterish flavor with some herbal notes, but thin bodied as well. Somehow different than what I’ve used to get from the style. Moderate sweeter finish. Fine beer, maybe too watery although it’s meant to be a light beer, but anyway, you won’t see me complaining while drinking it at over 35°C.

Bottled. Pale yellowish golden colour with mediumsized fluffy white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some mild sweet notes. Flavour is grainy, grassy, slightly sweet malty as well as some mild toffeeishness.

Can from Prague. Very pale beer. Sweetish, almost artificial sweetener. Some grain, a little sourness.

Bottle 500ml
Appearance: neat , clean gold look with mid-light white head.
Nose: Honey like aroma with gentle flower like follow up.
Flavor/Palate : Slightly over carbonated but this blended with overall softness made it fine. Honey scent. Solid lager but not exceptional

Back from a Czech Republic pub-crawl this is part of my express ratings for the “typical” Světlý 11°- (Czech light Pils), Světlý 12°+ (Czech Pils), Polotmavý (Czech Amber Lagers) and Tmavý (Czech Black Lagers). Non-typical beers will receive personalized descriptions after the express ratings.
How: tap at Belzepub, Prague
The look: Clear blonde body with a small white head
To me a typical Czech Světlý 11° and below is: Well malted body with lots of smooth cereals and a light fresh honey sweetness flavour. Some fruity notes (more fruity notes than in the 12°+) with mostly citrus fruits and a little lemon. The finish is somewhat herbal and citrusy with but unlike the 12°+ there is only a hint of the dry grassy bitterness usually associated with noble/Saaz hops. Bitterness is mild and does not really play a big role in the overall flavours spectrum. A light meringue sensation and an overall freshness impression.. Carbonation is typically very soft. These beers are low in intensity but very refreshing and drinkable in scarily large quantities.
This one: As above but a bit dryer, some dry honey and everything else divided by 2. Boring.

(Rating #1540)

The bottle looks not really good. The aroma is very sourish and the beer tastes the same. Dry and sourish. I think up to now the worst beer of the brewery.
