COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Švyturys White (5%) is a wheat Hefeweizen beer, member of the traditional Švyturys collection. It is defined by a refreshing taste and flavour that resembles a bouquet of cloves, bananas, plums, orange peel and exotic fruit. This non-filtered, cloudy beer with its peculiar taste and exceptional flavour should be served with a slice of lemon in a special pre-chilled glass. A wheat beer glass quite sharply flared at the top to look a bit like an hourglass, designed so as to perfectly reveal the flavour of this exclusive beer. Beer White perfectly complements fish, seafood, soft cheese, and light fruit desserts.

Bottle at Lithuanian festival. Aroma is bananas, cloves, wheat, bready malts, and light grassy notes. Flavor matches the nose and is a really well done white beer. Light/medium body and medium carbonation.

Bottle at the Lithuanian festival. Very cloudy amber. Medium body and medium carbonation. Thick wheat and malt flavor, dry citrus taste. Smells like lemon peel, orange peel, and spices. Very good for this style.

Bottle from a Lithuanian shop in Wolverhampton. Cloudy yellow/orange beer with large white head. Aroma of wheat and spices. Taste is wheat, sour, spices and citrus. Quite full bodied and viscous. I love these hefeweizens, the smell, taste and look. Good stuff.

The head is good, body yellow and cloudy. It smells yeasty wheat, less citrus. The taste is yeasty, citrus, wheat. Ok, a bit refreshing. 12/11/9/9/11/9

One of the most excellent beers I had. There is just one which was better. in my opinion. I had it in Germany in Oberwolfach.

My experience with eastern europe beers hasn’t been spectacular. I’m not sure if it’s distance or they just suck but I was pleasantly surprised by this beer. It is a cloudy wheat beer but I found it nice balanced and quite refreshing. Obvious clove and banana with a nice wheaty backbone. Nice, large bottles.

Fat @ restaurant Amatininkai, Vilnius. Citrongul öl med livligt vitt skum. I doften regerar citronen, men också en viss pepprighet hittas. Smaken är något tunn för ett högre betyg, men citrusen i kombination med örter och gräs är ändå fräsch.

Into a weizen glass. Two fingers of head, nice retention. Lots of bubbles in the hazy, dark straw colored body. Great smell of lemon, orange zest, banana and grapefruit. Nice fizzy texture, a dry and mild bitter taste. Pleasant and simple. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation. An excellent wit.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2012 Golden cloudy pour with a frothy white head. Aroma: wheat, orange, banana skin, hops and pepper. I find this extremely peppery. Starts off crisp and tart/sweet like a good white should but the pepper takes over. Im not sure if i got a bad bottle but i actually can’t finish this.
