Bottle at restaurant. As the lable says, dark red color. Caramel aroma. Taste is a bit sweet, and roasted. A totally ok märzen!

Pours slightly hazy medium amber with one fingers of loose off-white head diminishing rapidly to a thin skim, no lacing. (3/5) Nose is caramel malt, faint fruit and grassy hops. (5/10) Taste is moderate malty sweet, mild bitter. (5/10) Medium to light body, moderate to low sustained carbonation, sudden finish. (3/5) Not a lot to say here - there’s nothing really off about this one as such, but it’s pretty bland. On the up side, the somewhat high ABV is fairly well integrated, and the malt isn’t too overwhelming. The body falls pretty flat towards the end of the bottle, though, and what little hop character there is tends towards the sad and limp. (10/20)

Bottle. Clear copper-amber with a huge bubbly head that rapidly fades away. Aroma of caramel, malt and honey. Sweet with caramel, honey, toffee and biscuits malty notes, medium bitter finish. Medium-bodied, slightly over-carbonated. Drinkable.

Metallic hops and some caramel malt flavours. Not too bad for an amber but not super original either.

The bottle grabbed my interest, which is always a way to explore beer one might otherwise pass by. A ’Dark Red’ Oktoberfest-style beer out of Lithuania, eh? No fear. Pours a reddish amber with minimal head. Aroma is mild, sweetness there. Flavour doesn’t really jump out at me either. Starts off with a nice bit of hops, but instead of coming out with some balancing malt, it just sort of goes to cardboard bland. I have had worse, but this is not that great.

thirstyrabbit (1157) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - OCT 3, 2014
Bottle. Copper body, medium head. Sweet aroma with some buttery malts. Well, this is Lithuania. Sweet caramelly taste with milky notes. Dry metallic hops in the finish. Pretty similar to their "Old Port Ale". Good enough for the price if you prefer at least some kind of character over the sterile eurobeers.

martjoobolut (959) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 25, 2014
0,5L bottle. Pours red copper with light tan head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is caramel, malt, grains. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, grains, malt, some iron. Finish is malty bitter and some alcohol. Overall: maybe a little bit too sweet and alcohol is not very well covered, but it’s drinkable.

Clear amber orange, medium beige head. Nose is malt and caramel with a slight metallic note. Flavor is malt, mild sweetness, caramel, fruit notes. Finish on the dry side with light bitterness. Pretty drinkable.
