Bottle from Prince International Supermarket, Ashford. clear dark brown beer lasting beige head. Some sweetness on aroma. Some sweet strawberry on the flavour, bit of jam, rest is fine. I found it to be a tasty beer, no doubt. I liked the malt fruit and the rest fitted round this central fact well. Some dryness on the finish..

Bottle. 5.8%. Best before 19.02.16. As ’Švyturys Baltijos Wienerøl’. Pours a hazy, deep golden amber/dark orange, with a diminishing tan head. Sweetish aroma; light cereals, malt, caramel. Flavour is sweet, fat and grainy. Cloying. Light malt, caramel and fruit notes as it warms. Same finish, with a mild alcohol burn. Lingering grassy note. Overall, too grainy flavour, otherwise decent enough, if nothing special. 06.02.16.

UPDATED: JAN 10, 2016 Aroma: caramel, some flowers for just a moment, and a little alcohol. Appearance: dark brown, a little hazy, head small and just for a second. Taste: at first bittersweet and marginally sour -- at this stage it?s a 9; later turns into sweet and slightly bitter -- a 7; overall 8. Palate: body medium; carbonation fizzy -- a shame that, it doesn?t go well with the rest of this otherwise actually quite nice beer; finish more sweet than bitter, a little sticky. Overall: much better than I?d expected. Not at all bad, actually quite nice. At first it?s too fizzy but the carbonation masks the sweetness; when that goes away, the sugar comes to the fore and it becomes too sweet. Well, I guess there?s just no pleasing me.

Appearance is the only good thing of this beer. Aroma is a light malt. Taste is corn... cheap corn malt, that’s Carlsberg’s trademark. And caramel, corn and caramel. Cheat beer.
