Aromat słodowy. Piana średniopęcherzykowa, nawet trwała. Barwa jasno złota. W smaku pełne, lekko słodkie. Wysokie nasycenie, goryczka niska. Ogólnie nic szczególnego, ale też da się wypić.

UPDATED: OCT 4, 2015

500 ml bottle bought at The magstore at Nathan Road, Jordan.

Pale golden colour; One finger head and white foam which lasts for 90 seconds; Poor sticky lacing with active carbonation; Pungent smell of malt, with floral, grains, light honey, faint wet cardboard, bread, lemon and grass; Medium sweet taste of moderate malt, with strong grains, floral, molasses, bread, lemon, light bitter hops and grass; Close to light body. Thin but quite slick palate; Mouth feel is lager maltyness - better than most Macro Pales - in a light background. Otherwise tastes more like a jacked-up Lager - floral, fair sweetness, bread and lemon - lacking the fullness and cookie-ness of typical Dortmunder somewhat. So-so… Hoppiness is floral, honey, lemon and grass in nose and somewhat stronger in taste. Bitterness is light for a lasting, low-fi astringent sweet grainy finish; Fairly dry after taste. Easy and sweet-malty to mouth.

Comments: The original Ekstra I had last year was so impressive and nice so I can’t believe this Draught turns out so flat and disappointing – leaner maltyness, strong grainy presence, poor looks and heads. More of a Premium Lager / Pale Lager hybrid than a usual Dortmunder or Helles, I will go back to the original Ekstra if I need one. Skip this one.

The beer is crystal clear. Some rough white foam forms on top of the beer, but it collapses quickly. The beer has a gold yellow color. The appearance is very much that of pilsener. The smell is quite simple, but not unpleasant. There is a nice bitter hop aroma, which is somewhat refreshing. There is also some grains clearly present in the smell. There is also a little sour aroma, I think it is also caused by the hops. It is nice. The taste is nice. The beer has a firm bitter base, filled with hoppy flavors. There is a tiny alcohol taste and in the distance there is a little metal taste. The metal doesn’t disturb the beer. It is really good along with the bitter and little sour hops. The taste is better than the smell, which was already quite nice. This beer is a really good brew by a really good brewer.

Clear pale yellow, white lacing foam head. Not that nice aroma (barnyard barkey) and taste. (Cheese notes). Still another tick. (Moscow 201509)

50 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear golden yellow with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are grains, malt, and fruit - with an ever so slightly bitter finish.

50 cl bottle@home in Lager glass@approx 5 degrees C. Pours golden yellow with medium white head. Aroma grassy and with a hint of cardboard. Taste dominated by malt but with a distinct, not very pleasant bitterness also prevalent in the aftertaste. More like a German beer than for example a Danish and this becomes more prevalent as it heats up. The use of rice subtracts as I presume this in one of the causes of the rather watery mouthfeel. Not a beer to my taste really but drinkable if nothing else is available. .

Golden amber color with little white head. The aroma is dominated by the hops but the taste has notes of caramel.
