The aroma and flavor seem to contain DMS; this is somewhat rubbery, fusely. Harsh graininess in the aroma and flavor, sharp flavors, acidic. Overall not a great beer. Head dies quickly. Nice light golden color.

Straw colour, tiny head. Slightly sour aroma, bitter initial taste followed by a very mild finish, quite a dull beer

I don’t know if this is a Dortmunder but it is a rather good and drinkable pale colored lager. Its color is golden yellow and it is capped by a thin white head which leaves behind lace in a complex web. Herbal hops are the main component in the nose along w/ a grassy grain husk maltiness. The hops take on a much more citrus sort of character once tasted. This is a light bodied beer w/ zesty but mild carbonation which suits the style perfectly along w/ a crisp, firm, pils-like bitterness in the finish. I am not sure if it’s simply a freshness issue but I had the regular Svyturys Ekstra not but a few weeks ago and it is no where near this good. This is w/o a doubt the very best Lituanian beer I have tried.

Yellow corn straw color. Clear with a fuzzy white two-finger head. Bland adjunct flavors that are still better than most American macros. Too bad the bottle is by far the best part about this beer. Beautiful glass work!

Pale with a nice white head, aroma is mainly yeasty with some herbs, flavor of malt with some apple and wine, quite nice but not enough malty for a dortmunder, body is medium. Quite quafable.

I poured vigorously to disperse the cattiness apparent from the bottleneck, but to no avail. A large, white head settled quick to nothingness over a pale yellow body. Aroma of cats and corn with sharp herbal hopping and harsh alcohol notes playing saviour. Flavor finds sweet pale malts and lagering yeasts leading the way to a quick usurpation of hops and metallica. This came off quite differently than <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/svyturys-ekstra/ Ekstra, yet it ended up scoring about the same.

pours a semi-hazy pale yellow with a thin white head, lively carbonation, no lacing.
smell of corn, grain, some citrus, lawn clippings, light whiff of hops.
taste is tart up front, carbonated, corn, grain, sweet malt, just a touch of lemon.

Golden colour with a little white head. Aroma is grain and malty. Flavor is cheap malt and sweet. Very thin and watery finish. Boring.

clear yellow/gold, quickly disappearing white head, trace of lace. strong corn syrup nose, maybr a trace of malt and grass. taste follows nose, with cloyingly sweet corn syrup. light bodied, corn finish. this one is going to be hard to finish. but i am a determined man and i vow to face this challenge. single bottle purchase from binny’s orland park.
