Pale with a nice white head, aroma is mainly yeasty with some herbs, flavor of malt with some apple and wine, quite nice but not enough malty for a dortmunder, body is medium. Quite quafable.

I donít know if this is a Dortmunder but it is a rather good and drinkable pale colored lager. Its color is golden yellow and it is capped by a thin white head which leaves behind lace in a complex web. Herbal hops are the main component in the nose along w/ a grassy grain husk maltiness. The hops take on a much more citrus sort of character once tasted. This is a light bodied beer w/ zesty but mild carbonation which suits the style perfectly along w/ a crisp, firm, pils-like bitterness in the finish. I am not sure if itís simply a freshness issue but I had the regular Svyturys Ekstra not but a few weeks ago and it is no where near this good. This is w/o a doubt the very best Lituanian beer I have tried.
