D (538), Poland Dec 14, 2006 Golden colour, medium head, slightly hoppy aroma. Hops flavour, quite disappointing at first but later on tastes much better and complex - maybe it should me a bit warmer. Good in general. JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 9, 2006 Medium-light gold with a pleasing flow of carbonation. Nose features an odd and somewhat off-putting assemblage of grain, gravel, rain water, cardboard and children’s glue. Vapid flavour profile lacks any clear, defining characteristic. Mundane. hagisu (42), Ontario, Canada Dec 8, 2006 Light bodied, a decent sized head. Balanced flavour with a touch of sweetness. A light hop-grass aroma dj (418), Gloucestershire, England Dec 6, 2006 Bottle, 500ml. A pale yellow colour with an averge-sized white head. Aroma is hoppy with citrus. Taste is hoppy with honey and a little malt to balance it out. Somewhat sweet. A sweet finish with citrus. Quite drinkable stuff, but nothing to get excited about. larsga (2937), Oslo, Norway Dec 5, 2006 Small coarse white head disappears immediately. Paleish yellow body with carbonation. Acidic apple-and-malts aroma with a whiff of rubber. Bitterish apple-and-grain taste with a touch of chalk. A nice floral hop profile shows up briefly before being submerged in a bitter dandelion finish. Has nice points, but is too bitter for such a thin-bodied beer. (0.33l bottle.) harrisoni (6704), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 23, 2006 500ml bottle at County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Gold colour, thing white head. Bit of puke on aroma, but some citrus as well. OK and pale lagery in mouth, with a quite likeable finish. Carbonation prickle adds to the hop bite and lemony finish. It’s fine. OK lager, bit of puke is not nice though 2.0/5.
Re-rate. Having finished the rest of the bottle, I like the sherberty finish so it went up a bit to 2.4/5 bridge (659), Sydney, Australia Nov 17, 2006 Very pale, clear gold with a fairly tight white head. The aroma isn’t the greatest, with a little cereal, cooked rice and a bit of sugary alcohol, but tasting it improves it slightly by having a nice depth to it. The flavour is pretty well balanced, with a bit of sweetness and a touch of bitterness. However, coming in a half litre bottle it probably means I can quaff it down with little trouble. Grew on me after a few sips, but towards the end it waned a bit - maybe a half litre was too big after all. Not bad really. BeerandBlues2 (3201), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Nov 3, 2006 Bottle. Pours light gold with a patchy and spotty white head with some spotty lacing. Aroma is malt (grain, cereal, straw) and yeast (grass, sweat) with notes of corn and fruit (apple, pear). Medium bitterness and acidity, slight hop burn, mild sweetness provided by the husky corn and grain malt, sweaty yeast. Light bodied and watery palate.
