piscator34 (1121), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Aug 23, 2005 Medium yellow in colour with lots of carbonation. Light malt aroma, with some veggie hop thing going on too. Light bodied, with a somewhat coarse bitterness. Slightly fruity flavor, along with more veggie hops. Not very good. HogTownHarry (3922), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 22, 2005 Updated: Jun 19, 2007Bottle (500ml). Poured a very pale clear yellow with an enormous soapy looking freakishly white foamy head. I was afraid the lacing might be permanent, or a CIA mind-control device. Mild aroma - I get small almost equal portions of yeast, mild hops, sweet mild sugary malt, a little sweet tree fruit in there too. Gets nose-crinklingly vegetal as it warms. Taste - well, there isn’t much. Very icing sugar sweet, some artificial gummy bear pear and banana, almost imperceptible hops; make sure you drink it before it warms up. Mouthfeel is a just watery. Not awful, but any beer you have to serve at the surface temperature of one of Neptune’s moons is to avoided on principle. TipsyMcStager (902), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 8, 2005 Slight sweet malty aroma. Pours a light yellow, not too bad of a head. Cornish tasting. Some hops, but barely there. Average at best. Arnie (272), Chicagoland, IL, Illinois, USA Jul 26, 2005 Mild and bland (but not falvorless) Lithuanian import. Seems to be a local fav among some friends, but I’d call it another beer in a bottle. Not terrible, but there are many other, better, beers out there. mikeben (344), Naperville, Illinois, USA Jul 11, 2005 Ok very different then what I have had before. Slightly bland and watery there is a bready malty taste and I think I tasted some pear like notes. A little hoppy but not too much it is drinkable. I think I would like it if only the flavor was a little stonger as it is very distinct. SG (456), San Clemente, California, USA Jun 26, 2005 Light yellow hue with some decent lacing. The aroma is bready, with a classic lager type yeast. Slightly grainy. Light flavor dominated by malt and grain (rice?). Drinkable, and not bad. Way too much adjunct texture though. I’ve had much worse, and much better. Reid (1085), Salem, Oregon, USA Jun 4, 2005 Appearance?..a very nice light clear golden with a nice sized frothy/splotchy pure white head.
A good grassy hoppy aroma, with a hint of a creamy malts.
Very sweet in taste, the malts tend to dominate the first 2 thirds of the mouthful, then at the end some pleasing grassy/lemony hoppiness finishes off quite well.
Very pleasant mouthfeel to this, quite full for the style.
I found this most drinkable. I will have to go against the grain on this one and declare it a good helles.
BrockLanders (747), Panama City, Florida, USA May 27, 2005 I guess Liquidsolutions.biz pushed this hard enough for my neighbor to buy. What a huge mistake that was. Poured a golden yellow with a big white head. Looks decent. That’s as good as it gets. Hints of malt and light hops in the nose along with some undesirable funk. Flavor is equally weak....basic lagery malt and minimal bitterness. Thin mouthfeel, watery macro-swill mouthfeel. Blech. I’m very disappointed at how the liquidsolutions site is pushing this...I quote "It runs a bit on the malty side with an herbal lemony hop flavor". What a joke.
