RuneStumo (495), FØRRESFJORDEN, Norway Aug 30, 2009 30.08.2009, 0,5l Bottle. Pale yellow with white head. Aroma is malty with a sweet aftertaste. Very little bitterhops. Mild and round not bitter. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 26, 2009 Cavie nicely sent this to me in a trade so I could scratch Lithuania off the list... pours apple juice gold with a big white head that goes away quick but laces some. The aroma is very mild malty bread with a hint of honey and a sense of grass. The flavor at first sip hits you with tons of bitterness reminiscent of hop extract, minerals, and metal. After a bit you get used to it and it mellows out to malty sweetness. Swalden28 (1439), McKinney, Texas, USA Aug 24, 2009 Bottle from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours a straw yellow with white fizzy head. Aroma is nice, floral, some citrus, malt. Flavor is malt, some citrus, balanced hops. Mouth feel is light body, high carbonation. Overall, not all that bad... janubio (157), Spain Aug 21, 2009 Bottle, 350 ml. Mmmm, not that bad as I expected. Pale golden colour, normal head that doesn’t hold but leaves some lace. Smell is fresh, sweet malts but also some floral hops. Light body, simple pleasant flavor, and thirst quenching mouth feel, taste is mostly sweet, but it has some grain and lemon touch. Nothing to die for, but not that bad at all and it’s refreshing. drjay44 (758), Salida, Colorado, USA Aug 19, 2009 500 ml. bottle. Pours a thin white head over a pale yellow (SRM 3) slightly cloudy body....nose is malts with a bit of floral hop....taste is sweet malty cereal, with an utterly minimal hop bitterness.....light mouth feel, with medium carbonation. This is a not style that I care for much, but it was not particularly well done in any case. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Aug 15, 2009 Hazy yellow pour. Little darker than other helles. Smell is quite fresh, several notes of sweet bread and flowers in it. Taste has notes of bitter but softens up quickly. Strong flavors make this better than expected. Not quite sure why other raters disliked this. Dragonblaze99 (349), Greater London, England Aug 1, 2009 500ml bottle. Medium amber with small head. Very slight sweetish aroma. Flavour is slightly sweet and very grainy. Faintly hoppy palate. Finishes with a light bitter tingle followed by long lasting malty sweetness. An average East European beer.
