Very thin head, almost no nose whatsoever, cloudy yellowish color, flavor of canned corn. Not the greatest beer of all time, that’s for sure. (2/3/5/3/7)

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 15, 2004 Too light to be called golden so it’s yellow but with a nice fluffy head. Nose is grassy. Flavor is rather sweet with an apple note and a nice hop presence. Light bodied but still somehow sticky with gentle carbonation. Finish is pleasantly bitter with an unpleasant metallic note.
Did anyone else notice the commercial description says, "When one would drink it - the glass will be decorated by thick scum of glaring whiteness?" That doesn’t sound pleasant. Though, despite the rice used in the recipe, this does have something of a real Dortmunder character--and that’s a good thing. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Dec 13, 2004 Fairly sharp citrus-lemon hop aroma with some apple tones also. Clear pale golden coloured body with decent white head that recedes to strong and lasting cover and laces well. Sharp citrusy bitterness and very fresh pine-like, spicy hop flavour with a lasting sweet finish that has plenty of green apples. Medium-light body and engaging effervecence. Some very mild alcohol warming noticeble. At first this seemed quite pleasant, but the apple flavour crept up until that was the only thing I could taste, and it really didn’t work for me. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 22, 2004 Very odd indeed - a basically non-existent aroma, lousy pale colour and a flavour that was too mild by far. But as I made my way down the glass, I began to enjoy this beer and when I was finished, decided that yes, I’d buy it again. Nothing spectacular - no deep dark complex falvour - but a pleasant aftertaste, no chemical afterbite, just a pleasant beer. Marc (477), Yokosuka, Japan
