2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 beerguy101 (4825) - Newark, California, USA - AUG 14, 2004
Very light yellow gold color. Medium sized white fizzy head. Aroma is corn, grainy and sweet. A light to medium bodied Dort/helles. Malts are cornish, touch of fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly floral. Very mild tasting. Kind of thin and watery, but since its flavor is only slightly that above water I guess its ok. No real objectionable flavors, but then no real flavor either. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is neutral. Aftertaste is mostly neutral.

UPDATED: JUN 19, 2007 Bottle (500ml). Poured a very pale clear yellow with an enormous soapy looking freakishly white foamy head. I was afraid the lacing might be permanent, or a CIA mind-control device. Mild aroma - I get small almost equal portions of yeast, mild hops, sweet mild sugary malt, a little sweet tree fruit in there too. Gets nose-crinklingly vegetal as it warms. Taste - well, there isn’t much. Very icing sugar sweet, some artificial gummy bear pear and banana, almost imperceptible hops; make sure you drink it before it warms up. Mouthfeel is a just watery. Not awful, but any beer you have to serve at the surface temperature of one of Neptune’s moons is to avoided on principle.

Hazy, light gold body with a huge white head. The aroma has some sweet potatoes and honey. There are also some light herbal notes. The taste has some potato skins along with flowers and some old oranges. There is a slight apple character. A strange brew indeed.

From a 16.9 -oz bottle, shared by brewfiend, pours a clear golden straw brew with a thick and lumpy off-white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of light white bread grained malt, grassy hops and a touch of citrus zest. Taste is medium bodied, slightly sweet and light carbonated with a sweet hawaiian bread flavored malt, some grassy hops and a touch of honey. Finish is semi-sweet, a little cornish grits, with a sweet white bread aftertaste that quickly disappears clean.

UPDATED: FEB 14, 2008 Aug, 2007500ml bottle from BeersOfEurope. Corn yellow appearance with very white head. Adjunct/cereal aroma and flavour. A strange petrol sweetness followed by a blurry hop pellet bitterness. There is some character in this brew, as there sometimes is in a number of Eastern Europe beers. This tastes like a high alcohol brew that’s been watered down. The mouthfeel is thick and stodgy. On their website they make the absurd claim that this "belongs to “Dortmunder/European Export” class". If there was a RateBeer style group for Eastern European Pale Lager then that is where it belongs. This is not very nice. [1.1]
Feb, 2008 500ml bottle from my local East European shop. This is a slobby sticky beer. It tastes nasty and cheap. Bready, sweaty uncooked dough, globular, greasy, yet with acidic notes from the carbonation. I guess the Lithuanian drinkers are used to all this nastiness and take it all as part of the character. One thing this doesn’t lack is interest. Some fruit, some garbage, some rotting compost, decaying apples that explode in a mush at the touch. Yugh! Yet there are moments when the sweetness and the bizarre range of flavours head off in an interesting direction and this tastes almost good. But that doesn’t last long. Brrrrh. This is terrible stuff. [0.7]

330ml bottle. Pale yellow with plenty of white foamy head. Light grainy aroma. Thin mouthful and lightly malted. Short end. Very average for its style. Alright as a partner to freshly cooked asparagus.
