lagermonkey (597), Marietta, Georgia, USA Jan 18, 2007 Pours a clear bright yellow with a snowhite frothy head. Some light lacing. Smells of sweetish pale malt, hints of DMS and noble hops.
Tastes quite sweet pale malt, corny DMS-type flavors. Persistent light noble hops help to balance the sweetness and save the beer from a drain pour. The hops are odd tasting, never tasted a hop profile quite like it before. Mouth is lightly sticky, finishes with the hops then finishes clean. This is below average but not by much. I was expecting far worse.
robertjm (236), El Cerrito, California, USA Aug 28, 2008 Extremely thick tight head poured. Very carbonated. You can see large bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Clear yellow body color. Light, if non-existent aroma. Malty flavor, with light hop crispness. Not overwelming, which some Eastern European pilsners. As pilsner is not my favorite brew I could take it or leave it, but that shouldn’t reflect as my disliking it. blutt59 (649), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 22, 2008 bottle, clean golden yellow, huge waterfall head, nose is sweet malt, flavor of malt, lemons and hops, clean sweet finish
DSG (838), Yuvalim, Israel Aug 19, 2008 Bottle. Clear yellow color with a big white shaving foam head. Aroma has some grainy and corny notes as well as light hoppiness. Sweetish flavor with light maltiness, some cereals and a mild bitter hoppy finish. Light to medium-bodied. Nothing interesting, but quite drinkable. JohnnyZ (71), USA Aug 13, 2008 Nothing light or pale about this beer. This lager is one of Lithuania’s best. Good amount of bitterness and malt balance. Not yeasty and is refreshing. Quality lager. Slightly dry finish and mouth feel. Good with pizza and hot wings I imagine. Lithuanian pride. Bart (1364), Vosselaar, Belgium Aug 9, 2008 Bottle, Golden blond coloured beer with some average carbonation and a small white head. Hoppy sweet aroma and a medium to full palate. Finish is light bitter hoppy with some grainy touches. Medium lager.
